"We engaged Tropical Outdoor Solutions through our landscape architect for a total renovation of the exterior of our property. In addition to replacing nearly all plantings, our project involved laying new drainage pipes and installing entirely new irrigation and lighting systems. The results were at best disappointing. In many cases, Tropical was unable to obtain prescribed plantings, necessitating unsatisfactory substitutions. Some of these were so small that they stood little chance of surviving, including two trees that looked more like none too healthy saplings. Plantings were unevenly spaced in many places. Failure to level the ground after excavation created uneven turf. Sod was laid blocking two gutter drainage outlets. No irrigation was provided for an area of shrubbery. Metal edging had to be revised several times. Landscaping of a small atrium, part of the original plan, was never done. Tropical told us that the project would take about three weeks; instead, it dragged on for many more. The project lacked adequate supervision and monitoring of the work by senior personnel. Several requested adjustments were either not carried out or ignored completely. The attitude and behavior of some members of the crew were distressingly unprofessional We have spent the last several months trying to correct these problems, necessarily incurring yet more expense and time lost. We entrusted a six-figure job to Tropical Outdoor Solutions but were left with an incomplete and suboptimally executed realization of a carefully designed plan. We certainly would not recommend Tropical Outdoor Solutions for carrying out sizable landscaping projects."

They met with me a couple of times during the project to show me what had been done and what limitations they were looking at based on the condition of the concrete. "I worked with Ira for about two months on a retaining wall project behind my pool cage. Ira helped me through the HOA approval process, providing detailed description, material lists and applicable drawings. We communicated primarily through text and Ira was very responsive and let me know what to expect next and when. My project was a relatively small one for Apex but Ira was able to get crews to my home between larger projects and was flexible with our schedule. There also was some additional unanticipated labor needed to complete my project and I was not charged additionally. Ira stuck to the original quote. He also made every effort to keep our large foxtail palms. I would highly recommend this company and will hire them again should the need arise."

"WARNING: DAN IS THE BIGGEST LIAR, HE WILL PROMISE ANYTHING UNTIL HE GETS THE MONEY. We hired DANN FROM PREFERRED POOL AND PAVERS (PPP) to install a paver driveway and walkways to the front of our house and the backyard. Within a month we started experiencing problems with the installation and the quality of the pavers. 1) The pavers we ordered are called MEGA SMOOTH. We have pictures of the driveway that show how NOT SMOOTH, uneven the pavers were installed; 2) The aggregate in the pavers is popping out causing holes and the pavers are degrading, 3) The pavers are moving and separating causing large gaps, 4) 2 types of pavers, "Mega Smooth" and Mega Stone" were intermixed in the installation. We were told the difference in the pavers was Mega Smooth is a 3 piece paver and Mega Stone is a 2 pc paver. This is not true, the shape/texture is very different. PPP made several unsuccessful attempts to repair the problems. New pavers were ordered to replace defective pavers, but PPP, nor the factory, could communicate what the quality standard is for the pavers to determine which pavers would be replaced from a factory defect. Also, when the first pallet of replacement pavers arrived, it was the wrong color. PPP disappeared after this. Finally, the pavers were never sealed. I BELIEVE IN KARMA AND I KNOW WHAT YOU GIVE ALWAYS COMES BACK. DAN YOU STOLE MY $20000. HERE ARE A FEW OF MANY PICTURES OF WHAT I MENTIONED ABOVE. THESE ARE 2 MONTHS AFTER THE INSTALLATION AND YOU HAVE SEEN THIS FIRST HAND. THEY WOULD BE PERFECT FOR YOUR WEBSITE SO EVERY ONE CAN SEE YOUR HORRIBLE WORK. DAN ENJOY MY $20000 UNTIL KARMA HITS."
