"We had a plumbing emergency after regular business hours when a toy got stuck deep in our bathtub drain. I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of North Miami Beach, and to my surprise, technician Jose was at our home within an hour! He was incredibly professional, courteous, and took the time to explain everything before starting the job. Not only did he quickly clear the drain, but he also managed to rescue Chase from Paw Patrol—which made my son’s night! Having their main office so close to us in Bay Harbour is a huge plus. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing of North Miami Beach to anyone in the area. Excellent service, especially when you need it most."

"Erick of TD Services (a.k.a. TD Plumbing) is professional, polite, and well-skilled. I called upon his services at my condo in the Coral Way/Miracle Mile area of Miami to replace a kitchen sink, which also involved reinstalling the garbage disposal, p-trap drain pipe, etc. His quote was accurate, he promptly scheduled an appointment for me, and arrived as scheduled. He worked efficiently, skillfully, and honorably. Overall, I was very pleased with the result, and happily recommend Erick/TD Services of So. FL!"

"I was under a time crunch and Andro was very responsive and genuinely interested in helping me out to complete the final phase of my renovation before houseguests arrived. He came out to do a walk-thru, sent me the cost estimate right away and was back in a few days to hang the fixture. The work area was prepped very carefully and they were extremely neat and left my home without me having to do any extra cleanup behind them. Definitely a â keeperâ and I would recommend highly to anyone."

"Tri-County Repairs did an excellent job replacing a section of copper pipe leading to my tankless water heater that had developed a leak and completely replaced the drain basket in my kitchen sink that is connected to my dishwasher. Yaciel and his associate were punctual, professional and thorough. I highly recommend this company - they do great work!"

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain.

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels.

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

P.S.: If you do drop your priceless ring down the drain, take a deep breath, and then follow these steps to retrieve jewelry from your drain.

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.

If you’re not using a septic system, problems with your home’s plumbing won’t cause this—it’s a city problem. A large blockage in the municipal sewage lines may cause those lines to back up into your home. This is extremely unpleasant and can be a serious health risk due to bacteria and other contaminants. If this occurs, call a pro (or your city) immediately.

Keep your egress window from flooding by ensuring that the drainage system in the window well is clear and in good working condition. Inspect the window well every few months to remove any blockages and test the drainage system. It’s better to discover potential problems before your window well fills with water during heavy rain.
