"They were here a little early for my appointment. That impressed me! They went right to work installing 2 ceiling fans. They were pleasant , answered our multiple questions. They took the old fans cleaned up and left. I want to get 2 more fans and l will call Orion again. Definitely will use again ð"

"I had a ceiling fan installed. I forgot the electricians name but he did a wonderful job; he made suggestions regarding the placement of the fixture and was very knowledgeable and confident. He definitely knew what he was doing. Will definitely hire this company again."

"Had a 9:30am appointment and they arrived at 9:30am on the dot. It took about an hour to replace the tile and grout. The old tile came up in one piece but left the mortar behind on the cement slab. They had to chisel it all off before they could set the new tile. Taking time to clean up as they went along. Mike and Rita did such a fantastic job that you can't even tell that any work was done. Couldn't ask for better service!

"The team was very efficient and prices were reasonable. Another company wanted to replace my breaker panel and rewire the house to resolve the issues I was having; these guys spent the time to diagnose and locate the problem and repair it for a modest price. They also hung fans and chandeliers and replaced a bathroom exhaust fan & light. I recommend them highly!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

A blower and a fan serve different functions, so whether a blower versus a fan is better depends on what you need. If you need to heat or warm your home, it’s important that the HVAC blower is in good working condition. If you want to prevent an AC unit from overheating, make sure to keep up-to-date on condenser fan maintenance.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

WD-40 in its liquid or aerosol form is highly flammable. Using it around live electrical parts, such as a bath fan, can generate fire and a dangerous condition. However, if you follow proper safety procedures, including disconnecting the power to the fan before working on it, WD-40 can help remove some of the grime that builds up in your bath fan.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.
