Small jobs welcome

"Affordable Marble Restoration provided the most competitive price. In fact, they were so affordable that we had some concern about the work they might perform. They did an absolutely outstanding job! Their owner was very responsive and the crew professional. When more work is needed - we will definitely be calling on Affordable Marble Restoration. Highly recommend."

"I bought a new place that had marble floors. They were dingy, dirty, looked like they had bleach marks, water rings and lots of damage. I thought they would need to be repaired. Then I found Great Finishes. Wes and his team did an amazing job!!! The floors look like brand new! I never imagined in my wildest dreams or with my highest of expectations they would have turned out like this. They are MIRACLE WORKERS! I highly, highly suggest using Great Finishes you will not be disappointed. They far exceeded my expectations!!!!!!!!"

"Great Finishes, Inc is a fanulous company! I was impressed from start to finish. The scheduling wirh Anna was easy. She was very couteous & her desire to help was obvious. Wes Clark, the owner, came to my home & gave me a free estimate. It became clear to me that Wes was all about providing excellent customer service & doing a great job to restore my marble floors. Louie & David prrformed the work & were great. They were meticulous & dedicated to restoring my floors. They were polite, courteous & professional. Best of all, they did a remakable job wirh my floors. My marble floors are 28 years old, but when they finished, the floors look like new. I highly recommend Great Finishes for anyone wanting to have their floors restored/refinished! My wife & I are so happy we chose them for this work."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Silestone® is a brand of quartz countertops; one isn’t necessarily better, but they have their differences. Silestone® costs slightly more than the average quartz countertop because you’re paying for the brand name and unique features. For example, Silestone® is often more sustainable than regular quartz because you can purchase varieties made with recycled materials. It also has antibacterial properties and design options some homeowners prefer. Plus, you can use it across your whole kitchen rather than solely for countertops.

Extensive chips and cracks may require a full replacement of the countertop. The cost to install a new countertop is around $3,100 on average. But, if the damaged area is relatively small, you may want to consider repairing it yourself or calling in a qualified professional. Depending on the material, some epoxy and sandpaper may do the trick. Or you can consider painting laminate countertops or refinishing butcher block countertops.

Marble is a porous natural stone that needs sealant to minimize staining. Leaving this type of countertop material sealant-free means any liquids left on the surface will quickly absorb into the stone, discoloring it and dulling the sheen. Dark or acidic liquids, like red wine, coffee, and lemon, are the worst culprits.

You can cut granite countertops after installing them, but you need to consider the mess it will make. Dust will be everywhere, and lots of protective gear will be required. On top of that, you will need to measure meticulously to make sure the cuts you make are perfect; otherwise, you’ll be stuck having to replace the entire slab of granite, which is a much bigger job.

Cracks are usually repaired using an epoxy filler that matches the countertop's color. The area is cleaned, the epoxy applied, and then polished to blend with the surface, restoring both strength and appearance.
