"There is nothing worse than a clogged main drain and the possibility of having to replace it. However JAX Hydro-Jetters LLC went above and beyond to send out a very professional and efficient plumber, Mr. Lopez who explained the entire process and how everything worked. He was able to bust open the clog in the drain and now we have an open and working drain again! I would highly recommend this company...professional, compassionate and very helpful. Please give them a call if you are in need of a great company who will work diligently to help! Thank you all at Jax Hydro-Jetters for a great job, well done!"

"We would recommend R Stud Plumbing for plumbing needs. He did a repipe repair with minimal repairs needed after the job. Our first quote wanted to make a 4ft by 4ft whole in floor and Rob was able to complete the work with 12X12 inch whole , only two tile needed replacing, one each side of the wall. The drain works with ease now. Robs knowledge of plumbing and his honest character reflects greatly in the work he completed. He went above and beyond to ensure the job was done right the first time. Thanks for a job “well done”! We will be using him again for any furture plumbing needs."

"I had three plumbers come and snake my drain. Needless to say it was still going on. I called popaclog, Craig came out and with his video was able to see that roots had grown threw old Terra cotta drain pipe. He was able to blast away most of the roots and pulled out five gallons of sand. Also fixed the pipe where the first plumber just cut a whole in the top of the pipe for his snake and left it."

"My mom's new pine woodland is finally cleared of overgrown brush and levelled to drain properly! She says her lobolly pines, water oaks, and pond cypress are "happy now that they can breathe and grow". My sincere gratitude to Cameron and C & L Landscape."

"My air conditioning unit was repaired by Flow Solutions, but it was out of order after 1 week later. Therefore, I decided to hire another air conditioning company and I paid them to install a brand new A/C unit based on their professional advice."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Yes—your local septic company can clean your septic leach lines with a sewer jetter, a device that pumps high-pressure water through the lines to blast out any clogs and scum buildup. Unless there’s a clog or blockage in the lines, however, you do not need to perform this maintenance regularly. Do not attempt to clean your own leach lines, as you could easily damage them, leading to very costly repairs.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

You’ll need to stop or pause the machine using its control panel to start the draining process mid-cycle. Remove the items inside, turn off the power to the machine, and then follow the steps above to drain the machine manually.

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.
