"Terrible, garage was never built and deposit was never returned. Have to take company to court to get deposit returned. Dishonest and unethical organization, DO NOT USE. You will be sorry, they do not communicate, listen, and are unresponsive in every way. Do not give them your credit card number either!!!"

"After researching several companies to remodel one full bath and one half bath, I finally settled on DNG Construction . . . and I am glad I did. Believe it or not, they actually showed up to work when they said they would. They were honest, their pricing was fair and their workmanship was very good. I love my new bathrooms. They even corrected a crappy kitchen backsplash project that another company failed at. I would definitely recommend them and I would definitely use them again."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional installations include reinforced corner posts to ensure durability.

Carpenters are trained to take on a wide range of home projects. You can hire a carpenter to do framing, roofing, build custom furniture, and make significant upgrades to your home. General carpenters are usually able to handle most jobs. However, you may also choose to hire a carpenter who specializes in a specific type of carpentry.

Signs of structural damage include foundation cracks, roof leaks, bouncy floors, crumbling concrete, and cracked or leaning chimneys. Structural damage can make itself apparent in various ways, and sometimes, there may not be obvious signs. Inspect your foundation and roof annually to stay ahead of potentially serious structural problems.

Yes, joists are considered structural, as they support the flooring or roofing above them and help distribute the load to the beams, which, in turn, distribute that load to weight-bearing walls or foundational supports directly below them. Joists not only help distribute the load evenly to your beams, but they also provide direct support to the subfloor in flooring systems, which helps reduce creaking and the risk of uneven flooring.

Sagging floors, large cracks in your walls, and uneven door frames are three signs that your floor joists need to be replaced. You may also notice squeaky floorboards, windows that no longer close correctly, and stairs that sag on either side. You'll need a structural engineer or floor contractor to confirm whether the floor joists are the true problem behind these issues.
