"Mr. Rooter of St. Augustine is punctual and fast. He found the problem right away, fixed it. The price was reasonable. He pulled the carpet and followed the trail of moisture to the sink, turned on the faucet and knew exactly that it was a slow leaking drain basket in the kitchen. When I called he was here within 30 min."

"I don’t recall any troubles with scheduling. He was unable to complete the work on what we had wanted to have him do. We didn’t have the correct components to install a new sink in at the time. He was able to install the new toilet insides as I had all of the parts available for him. The plumber did share his disappointment in how there was some facts left out of the fine print for the Big Deal. We liked him and would consider hiring him again."

I called Rooter One left my information to be contacted and I received a telephone call from Ms. Paige who was very pleasant and a professional she scheduled me an appointment that was convenient for me. I would like to thank her for her kind attitude. Mr. Peter Santiago the plumbing technician came to my home and he introduced himself to me and he was a professional very polite. Mr. Santiago ask me to explain in more detailed what my family was experienced with the plumbing problems and I informed him that the toilets, tub, and shower water and sewage was coming up through the areas. Mr. Santiago explained to me in detail what may be causing the problems with backup in the toilets, tub, and shower. I was a little frustrated because of the situation at my home he made me feel comfortable and assured me that he will take care of the issues. Mr. Santiago provided me the estimate to complete the job he ask me would I like him to perform the task of making a evaluation on the sinks, tub, shower, and toilets with in the ? home he check the water levels, and flow everything on home was not working properly so he proceeded outside and he checked the lines opened the main water sources removed the caps and the water was over flowing he explained to me that he would like to clear the lines and give me the price to complete the jobs i agreed with the price which I felt was reasonable for the job. "Service was fast, efficient, professional and friendly. I didn't have much hope for my 12-year-old carpet, but it really came back to life, especially in the high traffic areas. The tile and grout look great, too. Definitely an excellent job!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Pedestal sinks typically come with two pieces: the pedestal (also known as the base or pole) and the sink basin. You may hear it referred to as a standalone sink. The sink sits on top of the pedestal, which attaches to the floor and hides the plumbing. Both pieces usually come in porcelain or ceramic.

Yes, it is often possible to replace an undermount sink without removing the countertop, but success can depend on the countertop material. For materials like granite, the process is relatively straightforward. However, laminate or uniquely shaped countertops might need to be removed or modified.

The process typically involves shutting off the water supply, disconnecting the drain and plumbing pipes, cutting through the old silicone seal, and carefully lowering the sink from below. This requires a good understanding of plumbing and the right tools. If you are not confident in performing the replacement yourself, it is recommended to hire a countertop specialist or a plumber to handle the task.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

Different plumbing problems can cause your P-trap to leak. The biggest problems are loose nuts and misaligned pipes. Over time, your P-trap can leak due to the rush of water moving through the pipes, which in turn loosens the nuts and causes the pipes to fall out of alignment. Other problems include worn rubber O-rings and cracked pipes.

Many homeowners stress about cleaning before an emergency plumber arrives, but you’re far better off doing the following while you wait for your plumber to get to your home:

  • Shut the water off at your water main if you have a leak or a burst pipe

  • Avoid using any water fixtures in your home, including appliances

  • Clear a path to the problem area so that it’s easily accessible

  • Consider shutting your breaker if you’re concerned that the leak may affect your electrical system
