Their technician Derrik was very prompt in diagnosing the problem and gave us various options for the repair. We were very pleased with his expertise and knowledge on our problem. "I hired them for a central AC install and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Very professional. Showed up on schedule, communicated clearly, and worked neatly. What stood out most was their knowledge: they walked me through the options, explained what they were doing and why, and made sure everything was set up correctly before leaving. The system is running great and the workmanship looks top notch."

Customers say: Quick response

"Wasatch Cooling and Heating, Inc. are the type of business you want to hire when it comes to the air you breath in the place that is supposed to be your safe haven. For decades we have raged about outdoor pollutants and air quality, however the CDC, WHO and NIOSH agree that more often the Air Quality INSIDE OUR HOMES in America are MORE polluted than even the worst cities. Rudy was prompt, professional and went above and beyond when it came to out homes HVAC. He suggested thinks that improved the air flow and more importantly the air QUALITY in our home tremendously. Rudy also followed up on all of his promises, admitted when he made a mistake and made it right. People like him are worth their weight in gold and I appreciate all he has done for my family. Highly recommend and will hire for future projects. David"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Evaporator coils in HVAC systems typically last around 10 to 15 years. However, their life span can be longer or shorter based on factors like the frequency of your HVAC system usage, whether regular maintenance is performed, and environmental conditions. Regular maintenance, such as HVAC system cleaning and coil inspection, can extend the durability and efficiency of your evaporator coil.

Because of the improved efficiency, ACs with higher SEER ratings tend to cool down your home better than models with a lower SEER. Higher-SEER AC units have a higher cooling capacity and a lower energy demand, meaning they may help cool your space faster without running up the electricity bill.

AC leaks are common, and an HVAC pro can usually fix them. You may be able to resolve some leaks on your own, but a professional HVAC technician should handle most AC leak repair. If left ignored, an AC leak could cause serious damage to your system or leave you with expensive water damage, usually leading to more costly repairs or replacements.

Professional HVAC installation requires licensed expertise in several areas, including electrical- and plumbing-related work. An HVAC team must know how to safely handle regulated refrigerant chemicals and the gas, oil, or propane used in furnaces and boilers. A proper HVAC installation protects your home from energy loss, fires, and even carbon monoxide leaks.

A 3-ton AC unit is probably too big for a home that’s 1,200 square feet. If you have a 1,200-square-foot home, you likely need a unit that’s somewhere around 1.9 and 2 tons. An AC unit that’s too large will be really inefficient and cost you a lot of extra money on your bills.
