Small jobs welcome

"I recently contracted with Diamond Hands to mow my lawn and to remove several large plants from my yard. Fernandez came to my home and we walked around the yard and discussed my concerns and expectations. He was very respectful of my wishes and offered suggestions for how the job could be done. Next we discussed removing 6 large plants from my yard. He and another man arrived on time and did a beautiful job of removing the plants and repairing the area after the removal. I am extremely impressed with Diamond Hands and feel fortunate to have them taking care of my yard. I highly recommend Diamond Hands."

"service was great and so was the price. contractor who did the work was very pleasant and professional. the only thing is he accidently cut down my baby lilac bush. it was just in the twig stage with about 20 leaves on it so it might have looked like a weed. otherwise, this contractor was fast and clean. would love to have him back. :)"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Household products such as paints, cleaners, oils, and batteries are considered hazardous and should not be disposed of with regular household waste. Instead, look for local household hazardous waste collection facilities where you can safely dispose of these items without harming the environment or human health.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

By using PPE, sealing work areas, and following containment procedures.

Some companies offer hazardous waste removal, but additional fees and special handling procedures may be required.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.
