We finally found Mike McCall, owner of McCall Custom Builders and appreciated him from the first meeting. He was punctual, professional, attentive, honest, extremely fair, and experienced. He diligently checked in with us to ensure we were happy with the direction of the project as well as keeping us informed along the way. While he would provide his experiences, knowledge, and preferences he always wanted to make sure it was what we wanted. While construction costs were sometimes more than expected, Mike was very conscientious about cost and offered alternatives whenever available. All we were trying to do was convert a golf cart garage to a closet and connect an existing bathroom to that closet, which would have increased our square footage from 1,490 sq ft to 1,610 sq ft. We sent the accurate measurements that we took ourselves to Eliza on November 18, 2025. Today is December 29, and despite a follow up call to Collin a few weeks ago we still haven?t heard anything from her. Fortunately we only spent a few thousand dollars on these clowns and have now found a reputable local company who has many more five star reviews on Yelp and this site. Avoid them at all costs!!"

"The whole experience was terrible. Thomas is a great salesman, but do not be fooled; once he has the money, you are screwed. Be prepared for poor communication, a lack of accountability, and poor craftsmanship. They do not monitor the quality of the subcontractors, nor do they care; they only want your money, and they upcharge at every chance they get. When you hold payment because the work is not completed, McCloskey Homes will threaten to stop all work. This guy is a complete liar. My wife and I had the misfortune of having him build our home with McCloskey Homes. I am stuck with the bill for correcting all the items that are of poor quality, and the list is extensive. According to Thomas, all the issues that are wrong with the home are my fault for moving in. There is no warranty, no punch list items will be dealt with, and no damage they caused will be corrected; they just get your money and move on to the next victim. Save yourself the aggravation and find a more competent contractor. I would never recommend McCloskey Homes to anyone."
