"I've had 2 cleanings so far and they have done a great job. The first cleaning was a more thorough deep clean and my house really sparkled. They listened to my specific requests and are easy to work with. I highly recommend them."

"I got to work with Hilda who speaks English as well as Spanish. She was “detailed” and organized! She moved small rugs and thoroughly cleaned underneath them and under furniture, etc. The owner, Alberto, is flexible and accommodating and provides services such as “opening” of the house prior to owners arrival, cleaning and closing after departure, etc.! If you want a job well done and not a “rush cleaning” call Alberto!"

Small jobs welcome

"After an extensive remodel to my lanai and my house going through an exterior paint job, my windows and sliders were in desperate need of cleaning. Austin did an amazing job! He expertly removed all the screens and cleaned them and made my windows sparkle! He was extremely pleasant and hard working. And very reasonably priced! I highly recommend Your Local Window Cleaner to clean your windows!"

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

These hardworking scrubbers should be replaced every six months. Most toilet brushes have nylon bristles, and over time, these bristles can bend, fray, or fall out, reducing the effectiveness of the brush. Silicone brushes hold their shape longer, but the softer bristles are less effective at removing residue and build-up. To clean your toilet brush after use, spray it with a disinfecting cleaner and let it air dry by closing the handle under the toilet seat and letting the brush head drip into the toilet bowl.

On average, it takes between four and eight hours to deep clean a house. The exact time depends on factors like the size of the home, the number of rooms, and how dirty it is. A home that is frequently cleaned will take less time than one that is not. If you are short on time, you can break the job into smaller tasks or hire a professional house cleaner.

Whether you’re a renter or a buyer, you should clean a house when moving out. For renters, it’s usually written in the lease that a house must be cleaned before it’s vacated. If you’re unsure how thoroughly to clean the place, check with the landlord beforehand; otherwise, you may not receive your deposit back. When selling a house, a contractual agreement is often made with the realtor that the house is swept and that all personal belongings are removed before the previous owners move out.

After you clean mildew or mold that appears in your home, you expect the nasty odor to disappear, too. Sometimes, though, the odor can linger after cleaning. To get rid of a mold smell, you may need to clean the area every few days for a few weeks. Use a dehumidifier or fans to try to remove moisture from the area. If the odor remains after a few weeks, you may still have mold or mildew in the area. Call a mold testing professional for another inspection.

Plan on deep cleaning the garbage disposal weekly with a maintenance run of ice cubes and lemon peels. Make it a regular part of your kitchen cleaning checklist.
