"The situation was more difficult than imagined. The stonecutters had cut the faucet hole too near the sink and the washers and screws could not be installed. He came up with an ingenious solution of filing the washer down, buying longer screws and manually screwing the faucet from above. Two other companies could not figure it out. He also took care of the leaks another plumber could not fix, and came immediately after being called on a Saturday morning!"

"Joe is the BEST and MOST HONEST plumber going! I had the good fortune of finding him on Angie's list.!! He actually popped up as the very 1st plumber when I searched for a plumber. I had called and reached out to numerous plumbers that my neighbors recommended. and I then reached out to Joe. I explained my issue with a kitchen sink faucet leaking water and Joe was SMART enough to ask me to send him pictures of the kitchen sink and also the back wall of the bathroom, which I did. He viewed my pictures in advance as was able to advise me he would be able to fix my issue WITHOUT the need to RE PLUMB my entire house unlike OTHER vendors that I called and described the issue to who stated that my house we need to be completely re plumbed. He was he ONLY vendor that asked me to send him pictures of both the kitchen sink and the behind wall bathroom pipes. He he so smart and knew in advance how to effectively attack the issue BEFORE arriving and was able to start on the work immediately when he saw the issues. Joe is a one man show and self running owner. He takes great pride in his work and was very reasonable and HONEST is his assessment an overall repair to my old home built in the early 1940's. He not only fixed the repaired area's, but also patched up the effective area's. he worked on. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Joe's plumbing, as you will not find anyone better to do the work then him JOE is the SUPERMAN of complex plumbing issues I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for all, his help on my account ..... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Joe's Plumbing NOTE: BEWARE of the plumber that was dispatched to my home via my Home Warranty company RILEY Corp FL License # CRC-R1328659.... Shawn is the owner. He and his plumber are lairs, incompetent, and stated my home MUST be re plumbed and left me with there MESS and water turned off at the street. He never once called me with the 3 game plans or options as he told me he would do. Joe is truly the SUPERMAN of plumbing I WOULD HIGHLY recommend him with ANY plumbing issue Thanks Vince"

"Would absolutely recommend him! I had an leak in my bathroom that 1 other plumber could not find! In fact told me it was my sink and basically rotto-rooted it out. I live on 6th floor, it was NOT fixed. Goliath came in, removed drywall and fixed it. I will never call anyone else!"

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

In Edgewater, be mindful of environmental rules protecting the Indian River Lagoon and local floodplain regulations, especially if your property borders wetlands. Many homes rely on septic systems, which require different planning than city sewer connections. Seasonal timing is important—schedule projects before hurricane season. For coastal properties, use saltwater-resistant plumbing materials and confirm your plans meet all local code requirements.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, combining plumbing work with kitchen or bathroom remodels, flooring updates, or hurricane retrofits can streamline your project and reduce downtime. Local plumbing contractors often coordinate multiple trades, allowing for efficient scheduling and fewer disruptions. Planning upgrades before the rainy season helps avoid weather delays, and bundling projects may simplify the permitting process for homes in flood-prone or coastal neighborhoods.

Helpful?

After plumbing work in Edgewater, schedule water quality and pressure testing, as local water often has high mineral content that can affect fixtures. Arrange for any required inspections and keep permit documentation for future reference. For homes with septic systems, consider a post-project septic inspection. Regularly check for leaks, especially in slab foundations, and flush your water heater annually to address mineral buildup common in FL.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, homes built before the 1980s often have galvanized or cast iron pipes, which are prone to corrosion and can complicate plumbing repairs. Slab-on-grade foundations make pipe access more challenging, especially if there are signs of settling or previous unpermitted renovations. Homes near the Indian River Lagoon may also face high water tables, increasing the risk of slab leaks and making trenching or sewer line work more complex.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, water heaters often require attention every 5-8 years due to hard water and local humidity. Main sewer lines may be affected by tree roots and shifting sandy soils. Kitchen drains are prone to clogs from organic waste and mineral buildup, while bathroom fixtures and outdoor irrigation systems need regular checks. Homes with slab foundations or septic systems should watch for signs of leaks or drainage issues unique to the area.
