I did not know that with a new A/C, the air handler’s connection to the house ducts needed to be changed: lots of mold and ‘stuff’ in it after 10 years! I priced materials for this job, as I originally planned to install themselves, but when I realized that I truly didn't want to get up on the roof of my house (which is quite high) or to get on the roof of my barn (metal, thus slippery) I decided to hire the pros. So that I am very happy with and of course it therefore cost more than it would have if I had done the job myself - but it was safer for me, and also much quicker than I would have been.
