They were supposed to remove the Popcorn ceilings, texture the ceilings, and paint. They never showed up, never called, and never return my calls. I finally got ahold of them and they told me they do not have a removal guy anymore. It is now 7 weeks that our deposit has not been returned to us for a scheduled job all we want is our deposit back!

Gerry sent someone over to the house to remove my kitchen cabinet doors to have them painted in his shop. He was supposed to return to finish the job this past Wednesday and Thursday. I paid him in full. He never came back to complete the job. I have been trying to reach him by phone and email and he has not responded. I went to his shop and at least I know it exists, but I could not find Gerry. I am stilling waiting for him to contact me.

Do not use them, they start with a fair price and timeline. We should have gone with the higher-priced quotes and had the job finished it has been over 3 months and still not done, paint is flaking off where the dirt is and now I can not get a return call or text. Gerry is an artist. Not any kind of reputable businessman!! Runaway from this guy or you will regret it.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!! Based on our experience, we would never use them again. The actual painting of the cabinet doors and preparation was completed as promised and without fault. It was the finished work and (customer service) follow-up that simply was frustrating and TERRIBLE. To cite some examples. the dirt and dust in our kitchen which had been encased in plastic sheets were left unattended for days making use of our kitchen nearly inoperable. Re-installing the doors then turned into a rush job with several doors installed out of alignment, one drawer door panel loses, another upper door panel was actually missing a hinge. and one of the lower sink doors sporting a broken hinge. But the worst was yet to come! What a nightmare!!! Yes, there were several visits, loads of sympathetic talk, what appeared to be sincere promises, and then follow-up appointments which were never kept. Although we kept our phone calls to no more than once every couple weeks, after a while it seemed their office simply blocked our calls and/or slotted us into voice mail Again never to be returned. Finally got through once by using an unlisted number. More promises made, NO follow-up. Here it is mid-April for our job that should have been closed at the beginning of December. "I met with Mr. Ron G. one week after the paint work was complete and adjusted the doors on the cabinets since some of them sagged after the re-installation. Roberta commented that a hinge was missing on her corner cabinet upper. It was apparent that one of the pocket hinges was never there to begin with since there was no evidence of screws having secured the hinge. When we de-install the cabinet doors all doors and hinges are numbered. The doors go to the shop for painting and all hardware remains on the job site to ensure nothing is lost and that everything goes back exactly where it belongs. I personally did not receive any calls from Roberta or Ron. We do not call block people. Neither did we receive any emails. I stopped by their home after Mr. Rons review was posted. He admitted that there were no other issues that he had except for the missing hinge. After a lot of research and meeting with people for estimates I had no second thoughts about choosing Sunshine Painting. They are pleasant to work with from the office to the painters. Any questions that you may have are answered promptly. I had an issue with a paint color, that was not their fault, but they didn't stop until I was completely satisfied. If you are looking for a professional, fair priced, pleasant and detailed painting company, this is the company you are looking for.

Hired to prep and paint my deck, the painter tried to paint before the prep was finished. Blisters were to be scrapped and smoothed so I insisted he return for more prep. He did so briefly and then painted, leaving many paint chips painted into the surface due to inadequate cleanup before, drips and many blisters after. The boss came over and agreed the job was poor. After a return trip maybe 10 days later, the deck was still bad. After a number of calls, no one showed up. I had to finish the scrapping, priming and painting myself. It will still need a major redo. I have asked for a rebate but have heard nothing, despite my calls and sending a letter.

We hired this company to paint the exterior of our house as well as the pool deck . The crew consisted of one subcontractor in his own car (Not sure if he was insured or not) so the job took longer than expected (about 1 1/2 weeks). The last thing he painted was the pool deck and he finished around 8 PM And was paid in full. The next day it was obvious that something had gone wrong with the deck painting. The owner came out and did a little bit of touchup painting but in the weeks that followed all of the paint started coming off. It has been about three months and I have left many messages and he will not Return my calls. Do not hire this company!

"Feral cats and pools of urine. What Chris C. [Consumer name withheld at their request] failed to address was that we have been out to his home three times, he is not there during the day. Met with his wife and once his daughter. Each time after the deck was cleaned we returned to more urine on the surface of the deck. We cannot continually clean the surface if the cats are permitted to contaminate the surface. Mr. C's home is quite large, two stories, and complicated. He was very pleased with the outcome. We started on time and finished on time as I mentioned that it would take us a week to paint the house. Jeff is a great painter and yes he uses a car to get to the job site. We are bonded and insured, each proposal we present includes copies these documents. Our proposal included power washing and painting the deck. Not scrubbing down the deck multiple times with chemicals to neutralize uric acids, only to have the cats ruin the surface again and again. Thu 5/16, 8:59 AM Chris C. The extreme actions you took were uncalled for. I was there three times, met your wife on one occasion and your daughter on another. There were so many puddles of urine I had to watch my step everywhere. We can attempt to resolve the problem but the cat will have to stay off the deck during the time we clean, scrub, dry and re-coat process. Two coats. The chemicals will be your only added cost. When we are finished I would expect you to remove your postings. Let me know if you would like us to schedule the work. - Gerry"

This is a messy unpleasant job but they have someone who is an expert and worth the extra money for his cleanliness. Much much improved over the last company I used for this 10 years ago. They did a wonderful job. Because the go from job to job I was warned my schedule would be flexible and it did change twice because they complete one job before starting the next and weather is a problem sometimes. Who cares when the end result is so great. Not one thing was damaged and I never heard one swear word from the Workman. Amazing team. I will use them again and recommend them highly.

Gerry and his guys did a FABULOUS Job! I would highly recommend them for your painting needs! We were unsure of our start date but once we knew it they were able to accommodate us in just a few days!
