On small jobs we do most of the building ourselves (we have two to three additional employees) and we use sub-contractors for our major site work, electrical, plumbing, HVAC. On large projects we also sub-contract carpentry, masonry and concrete work. My sons and I act as project managers and superintendents on the larger projects and perform a good portion of the custom details ourselves. Most estimates are free. There are charges for emergencies--water damage, fire, smoke damage, etc.--and for estimates that require travel more than 100 miles away from Tampa. The last few years, we have had a number of jobs that we took over for fired contractors, jobs that homeowners tried themselves and were overwhelmed, and some jobs that just required a little more expertise than the designer and owners originally anticipated. Because of all our experience, we also skilled in historical work and custom restoration.
