"

Advanced Pool left me a message to call them on my first suggested appointment date.  I called and explained my problem.  In less than an hour, the owner was at my door and started his trouble shooting.  His electrician arrived about an hour after his call.  He obviously was highly experienced in his work and rewired the dual voltage air switch controller which was the problem and not the house wiring.  After the electric motor was fix to run, I discovered that I have an electrical problem with my Freeze Controller and the electrician has been scheduled to return to check it out.

Although, I paid Advanced Pool & Spa the agreed $39, I paid the electrician $225 for his service call, a new Dual Circuit Breaker and 1.5 hours labor for two people.  I was pleased with Advanced Pool & Spa and the electrician.  I could not ask for a quicker responses to a problem.   Everyone  was very polite and professional.   A day later, Advanced Pool & Spa made a special call to insure that my problem was taken care of.

"Caleb has been cleaning my pool every week, year round, for nine years. He does great work. My pool is clean and balanced. He knows what he is doing. The cost for my pool is $125.00 per month. He provides the chemicals so I don't even have to bother with that stuff. If you don't want to clean your pool, then you want him to. You need to call him."

"Drips 'n' Puddles, Inc. uses, what I like to call, satellite installers to conduct my pool liner replace. This didn't bother me, and it makes sense when dealing with remote jobs. The installer came out and measured the pool, and Drips 'n' Puddles, Inc. ordered the liner. The installer came back to install the liner and removed and prepared the pool to accept the new liner. When the liner was half way installed, I inquired about a few things that I wanted addressed. Missing mortar, in a crater format, and I also noticed that the padding wasn't pre-installed on the sides. These were two things that Drips 'n' Puddles, Inc stated they would address. When I inquired about these two things, the installer seemed a little vexed and said that he would address it later on during the install so he could get the water filling process started. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and when I cam back to check on the work I noticed my concerns were not addressed. I called the installer and expressed I was disappointed in the work, and that I would inform Drips 'n' Puddles, Inc. Before I could call Drips 'n' Puddles, Inc, the installer called me back and apologized, and said he will come back and address my concerns. He did come back later that week, and went back to the property a little while later to check on the work. The pool looks great, and the installer made me happy by coming back and addressing my concerns. I would use them again.

"They're good. The A/C was very old and they let us know that it'd need replacing in time. They did a band-aid fix for now. They were prompt and when the A/C did break down, they remembered us; they gave us a good deal and even came after hours. They were professional and friendly. They explained exactly what was happening and showed us what they did. Overall, they provided very, very good service."

"We bought a new house and the pool was green when we moved in. We found Aqua Bear on Angie's List and gave them a call. Dave was very responsive and straight forward about what needed to be done and how long it would take to clear it up. We were so pleased that we have enlisted him for weekly servicing. As well, we hired him to modify a cabinet and install double ovens. Dave was great! We will definitely Look to Aqua Bear for future projects."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

No, you cannot clean your hot tub filters in the dishwasher. While it may seem like a good idea, the dishwasher soap isn’t gentle enough for hot tub filters and can damage them. Gentle cleaning is better when cleaning the hot tub filters and keeping them intact.

Yes, you can use silicone or epoxy hot tub repair kits to repair cracks in a hot tub. Always read the manual to see what the manufacturer recommends before attempting to repair a hot tub.

Yes, but only if it is a freshwater tub (not saltwater) and if you make sure the chlorine and bromine levels are below 1 ppm.

Hot tub repairs cost between $200 and $500 on average. You can minimize those costs by maintaining your hot tub and keeping necessary supplies on hand. An elevated shelf in the garage is a great place to store your water care chemicals so that kids and pets will stay safe and you’ll always have them around.

Your hot tub should be drained of existing water, cleaned, and refilled every three to four months at a minimum. Follow your tub manufacturer’s recommendations for cleaning, and rinse thoroughly when finished to eliminate any residue from the cleaning products. This is also a good time to inspect your tub’s cover in good lighting for any leaks, tears, or other damage that might cause problems.

Using your hot tub manufacturer’s suggested cleaners and methods, keep your hot tub filters clean to avoid a loss of water heat. This will help extend the filter’s useful life and efficiency. If the filter is more than two to three years old, replace it with a new one and buy a second filter to keep around as a spare.

Hot tub heaters typically last seven to 10 years, though some might only last five years if not properly maintained. You can maximize your hot tub heater’s lifespan by ensuring the water’s pH level is properly balanced.
