"Right from the start, our experience with Fence and Deck Connection was terrific. The sales rep showed us options at various price points and when our initial selection was beyond our means he showed us a less expensive alternative that was perfect. Once the contract was signed and materials delivered, the installation manager and crew showed up on time as scheduled and worked quietly, courteously and very professionally. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. The manager came by daily to inspect what work was done and provided us with an accurate timeline for completion of the work. Every step in completing this significant investment was done professionally. We could not ask for better service and highly recommend Fence and Deck Connection."

"Dom was very professional and showed great attention to detail with this project. Unfortunately, we hit a few snags with some large tree stumps, but Dom owned this issue and was able to successfully complete this project close to our planned budget. The end result of the project was a professionally installed fence that looks amazing. I would definitely hire Dom for his services again."

"Rightway Waterproofing is the company you want to come and waterproof your basement. I had initially set up a job looking for pros through Angie's List. I was contacted by Rightway Waterproofing via phone and email but did not respond as life happens. Well it rained really heavy again in August and I had more water in the basement. I reached out to them on a Friday and Albert contacted me immediately. They were able to come out on Monday to look at my property. Jake was thorough and friendly. He let me know what he thought we needed, explained everything thoroughly and gave us a quote which was completely reasonable. We accepted the bid and work was to commence on Thurs as they had an opening. Work was completed in one day. The area was kept pristine and they did an amazing job. The crew was courteous to my family. I could not recommend them more. I hope to have them out again at some point to finish my basement area as well. Try to keep in mind that during the season of covid many families are looking for ways to make more space in their homes or to have to home projects done. If you are waiting for work to be done just know that it is worth it! Thanks Rightway!!!"

"They arrived in the morning and was completed by the afternoon. The guys were very professional and polite. We had a pool in our backyard that was taken down and it was a huge sandpit. They removed the sand and added pea gravel and now we have a space to make into an outdoor sitting area."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Rehoboth Beach’s coastal climate brings high humidity, salty air, and frequent strong winds, all of which can accelerate wear on fencing materials. Storms and nor’easters can cause sudden damage, making wind-resistant fence installation essential. Sandy soil requires deeper post anchoring, while flood-prone areas may need special foundations. Spring and fall are ideal for fence installation, as weather is milder and contractors are more available.

Helpful?

In Rehoboth Beach, early signs of fencing problems include rust or white residue on metal from salt exposure, wood that’s starting to warp or split, and posts that feel loose in sandy soil. After coastal storms, look for leaning sections, cracked vinyl panels, or shifting at the base. Addressing these issues quickly can prevent more costly fencing repairs and help maintain your property’s curb appeal.

Helpful?

Before starting fencing projects in Rehoboth Beach, review local permit and zoning rules, especially for fences taller than six feet or near the coastline. Confirm your property boundaries with a recent survey to prevent disputes. Schedule underground utility marking before digging. Check for HOA guidelines and coastal setback restrictions. Plan your fence installation during the off-peak season and consider flood zone requirements if your property is close to marshes or waterways.

Helpful?

Fencing on ocean-facing sides, around pools, and in low-lying or marsh-adjacent areas of Rehoboth Beach often needs the most attention due to salt spray, moisture, and shifting sand. Gates and heavily used entry points can wear out faster, especially during tourist season. Corner posts and places where fencing meets decks or patios are also prone to damage from exposure and frequent use.

Helpful?

The success of fencing projects in Rehoboth Beach depends on selecting materials like vinyl, aluminum, or pressure-treated wood that resist salt and humidity. Posts should be anchored deeply with concrete to withstand sandy soil and high winds. Regular fence maintenance, such as rinsing off salt spray, annual inspections, and prompt fence repairs, helps extend the life of your investment in this coastal environment.
