"If I ever need any fencing done again I would definitely use them. The cost is the best around and the work is done fast and done well. They clean up leaving no mess for you to clean up. The one thing that impressed me was them being on time, that's important in today's busy world. So if you want fencing, concrete work and some tree trimming this is the company you want."

"Rightway Waterproofing is the company you want to come and waterproof your basement. I had initially set up a job looking for pros through Angie's List. I was contacted by Rightway Waterproofing via phone and email but did not respond as life happens. Well it rained really heavy again in August and I had more water in the basement. I reached out to them on a Friday and Albert contacted me immediately. They were able to come out on Monday to look at my property. Jake was thorough and friendly. He let me know what he thought we needed, explained everything thoroughly and gave us a quote which was completely reasonable. We accepted the bid and work was to commence on Thurs as they had an opening. Work was completed in one day. The area was kept pristine and they did an amazing job. The crew was courteous to my family. I could not recommend them more. I hope to have them out again at some point to finish my basement area as well. Try to keep in mind that during the season of covid many families are looking for ways to make more space in their homes or to have to home projects done. If you are waiting for work to be done just know that it is worth it! Thanks Rightway!!!"

"Jeff is a genuine craftsman. He takes a great deal of personal pride in the quality of his work, and it shows. He provided a *very* detailed estimate up-front, which impressed us. Jeff spent a great deal of time going over our plans with us, which included moving some walls and putting in a number of custom details. He made many helpful suggestions along the way; in fact, he is exceptionally good at coming up with pleasing solutions to unforseen challenges that arise.
The job did take longer than we originally expected, due to some problems with a subcontractor. Jeff was very apologetic about the delays, and took full responsibility for dealing with the subcontractor. He also did his best to work around the problems to minimize the delay. Jeff himself is very communicative: he shows up when he says that he will, and checks in with you regularly about issues that arise and with progress reports. Once the job started, he was on-site everyday, working, when there wasn't a delay forced by dependency on others.
We are extremely pleased with our new bathroom: it is both highly functional and very aesthetically pleasing. When working with Jeff, it was clear that he wanted us to be very pleased with the outcome, and we are. We would definitely hire Jeff again.

"In September 2020, I hired John Wagner Enterprises LLC to install siding on my entire split level home in North Cape May over existing asbestos siding. Until I found John Wagner, I had a hard time getting contractors to call me back and give estimates. I found John Wagner through Angie's List and very glad I did. He called me the same day that I submitted request and came out the next day to give me a bid. John explained the project, gave a timeline, and clearly demonstrated his experience with the work which gave me confidence to hire him. His price was very fair and reasonable and I signed the contract and paid 50% deposit. John and his team showed up on time and on the date expected and the project finished when he said it would. John and his team were professionals, friendly, and kept the work site clean during the project. My house is a split level and had old asbestos siding. They installed a protective barrier and then the siding. It looks absolutely fantastic. John cut holes in the soffitt to increase my air flow to attic prior to installing new soffitt at no extra charge. I had to leave for a day before the project was finished. I texted John two areas around the electrical box and a deck railing that I requested he re-look since they didn't look right. He said he would take care of it and when I returned a few days later after they left it was fixed. I've hired lots of contractors over the past 20 years. I am really happy with John Wagner. Great work at a great price. The key for me is that John is responsive and he and his team know their stuff. Any issues, John took care of it. Great customer service and commitment to make sure the customer is pleased with final product. That put me at ease. I am very happy with the new siding. It completely transformed the house. I highly recommend John Wagner."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

When your rolls of silt fence join together, you’ll want to overlap them to make sure they’re still as effective at keeping water out without requiring fastening together. Overlap two sections of the silt fencing so that two sheets of fabric cover the span of two posts. If you want to fasten them together, you can staple them or use a zip tie, depending on whether your posts are metal or wood.

Wattle fences are typically around 4 feet tall, but they can be built taller or shorter depending on their intended use. Taller fences may require additional reinforcements, such as thicker posts or tighter weaving, to ensure the fence’s stability and durability against wind and other elements.

Privacy fences in residential neighborhoods tend to stand between 6 and 8 feet tall, but local building code usually dictates the maximum height. Livestock fences that border large land plots range from 3 to 6 feet. Shorter, decorative fences, which are common in front yards, are around 3 feet tall, on average. Fence height also tends to vary by material, with wood fences usually sitting at 6 feet tall, and chain-link and wrought iron fences tending to sit at half that.

How long a fence lasts, including a split rail fence, will depend on the material from which it’s made. The average lifespan of a wood fence is about 15 to 20 years. However, split rail fences made out of premium materials, like composite, vinyl, steel, or aluminum, can last for 25 to 30 years or more, especially if you take good care of the material and carry out necessary maintenance.

Vegetable gardens can easily become a convenient food bank for your local animal population, whether it’s squirrels stealing fruit or rabbits munching on freshly grown veggies. If you want to keep those critters out, it helps to put a fence around your vegetable garden that’s at least a couple of feet tall to deter any animals from getting past it. Just make sure your fence doesn’t interrupt the amount of sunlight your garden needs to thrive.
