"Ed Krolick started our project back in JULY 2021, paid 10k, limited work, broken promises, doesn't respond, ridiculous excuses. Telling me he has to work other jobs to make enough money to work on mine W**! Its now April 2022. Filling with State Attorney's office."

"I was asked to give a $1,000.00 deposit to start the job. I gave James Forrest a check on Sept. 10, 2020. That is the last time I've seen James Forrest. He has promised a start date several times but never showed. He has since disconnected the phone number he gave me, (302-525-1197). This kid, James, that I have spoken to is apparently maybe the son? of the original Forrest contractors. Too bad he is destroying a "Family owned business"."

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

Zinc roofs can last over 100 years under ideal conditions. While metal roofs last a long time, only copper roofing is comparable to zinc's longevity. Zinc roofing develops a patina over time, turning from dark shades to lighter ones. The material, or at least the patina coating, is somewhat self-healing by filling in small gaps and scratches on its own.

Regular cleaning, promptly repairing minor issues, ensuring proper drainage, and using rust-resistant coatings help prevent recurring damage.

Steel roofs are noisier than slate or asphalt tiles but less noisy than aluminum and other types of metal roofing. While some find the sound pleasant, others may want a quieter roof. To reduce noise in your living area, you can install thicker underlayment or add insulation or even acoustic tiles between the roof and the house.

There are pros and cons to metal roofs. Some of the benefits of a metal roof include a long lifespan, multiple style options available, and improved energy efficiency in your home. The biggest drawbacks of metal roofing are the higher price tag and the noise. When rain falls on a metal roof, it tends to be louder compared to other roofing materials.

Metal roofing gets hot when it’s exposed to direct sunlight, but aluminum is naturally reflective and can actually help keep your home cooler in hotter, sunnier climates. The solar reflectance of aluminum is significantly higher than that of asphalt shingles and clay tile, so a metal roof will reduce solar heat gain in your home.
