"wasn't able to do the project in the time frame so we didn't use him.  He was very quick to call back and set up a meeting.  Said he would be able to do the job but then saw it and said no he couldn't.  His pricing was good but he was just a one man service with no helpers.

"Our job started with complete removal of our old cabinets, counters and backsplash which was done in a few hours. The new cabinets went in the next day and and we had to wait 17 days for the new counters before work could be completed. Once the counters were in, the rest of the work proceeded in a timely manner. All communication was easy and immediate. Dave Poison was very easy to work with and his crew was experienced and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them."

"I thought they were professional, which is why we hired them.  I haven’t met the workers but my husband met one of them but I met the manager of the company who does the estimates.  Their pricing is comparable with everybody else we got quotes from.  We got on line with them one day and they were here the next day.  They are just starting the work in September. "

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.

After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.

It can take anywhere from a few days to several months to draw up architectural plans, depending on the complexity of your project. Architectural plans are highly detailed documents that take time to complete, and any changes or alterations can significantly extend how long they take.

The process typically takes 2-6 weeks, depending on the project size and level of customization.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.
