Small jobs welcome

"Changed our 1960 kitchen and made it look like a kitchen built in 2020. It really exceeded our expectations. We refaced our kitchen in order to sell our house next year. We will have no problem selling this house. We were home the entire time our installer worked on the kitchen. The guy worked hard and he did a great job. I consider myself handy, but I wouldn't taken this project on. Glad we didn't decide to paint. Everyone that sees our kitchen loves it, For reasons I can't explain, they think the kitchen is larger. That is okay with us. If you are okay with your kitchen's layout and the cabinet frames are okay, then this is the way to go."

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Denis and his team did a fantastic job - I highly recommended DMJ on every level! This includes an on-point kitchen cabinet painting job I didn’t originally plan, but after discussing with Denis, I am so glad I had done by them (more detail below). I contacted many area companies and none were as responsive and detail oriented. I received a specific and clear proposal as well as a rough timeline and the work was done as proposed - quickly, thoroughly and respectfully Bonus — DMJ cleans up after themselves beautifully!!** **DMJ was meticulous about cleaning and caring for my home. A . I think this is important to note because I was told recently by another contractor I was using that a cleaning fee will be assessed ($300) if I expected contractors to, for example, flush the toilets after use. If I didn’t want layers of boot prints and hand prints on the previously clean counters, floors and toilets in non work areas, that would cost extra. DMJ is impeccable in this regard and they agree with my expectation that you leave a job site as clean as you found it and they don’t charge a cleaning fee to do that! DMJ also does excellent prep work - in addition to having freshly painted walls, trim, ceiling and doors, they really addressed every flaw on all surfaces - it was a job far beyond just paint. No painted over dry wall defects, they fix it ALL. No drywall tape left semi peeling, no sign of previous nail holes or pops, comparing recent work by other vendors, DMJ offers a superior end result. Our job included a very tall stairwell which was done over newly installed wood floors / stairs. The paint is perfect and not a drop of paint was out of place, nor scratch or bump made or left anywhere. Cabinets - I have had cabinets painted a few times over the past 15 years and DMJ does top of the line cabinet repainting at a reasonable price. They use the Benjamin Moore cabinet paints and by far this was the most professional cabinet painting job I’ve seen. Many companies may say they paint cabinets, DMJ painted ours so well, they look new. After a month of living with them, this cabinet paint is built for use and will last. So far, scratch resistant, easy to wipe down with no issues, etc. DMJ has enough infrastructure and trained personnel that they fit us in between other jobs as if we were a first priority immediately. DMJ offers a highly competitive price - even if not the lowest quite I received - when I factor in the level of quality and professionalism, the job easily was the most cost effective. If you need painting - don’t hesitate to hire DMJ Custom Colors!"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Yes, stacked cabinets, bulkhead trim, and crown molding are worth it. This look is not only customized and high-end, but you’ll also have the added benefit of extra storage space. And because you don’t need to remove your existing cabinets to achieve this look, you’ll save by not needing to complete a kitchen remodel—which could run between $15,000 and $40,000.

How much cheaper it is to replace your cabinet doors depends on your needs. If you’re looking to spruce up the look and feel of your kitchen, then you can make cosmetic adjustments to your existing doors, like installing new knobs or a fresh coat of paint. Cabinets can be some of the most costly parts of a kitchen remodel, but if there’s structural damage regarding your doors, then replacing them is your best option.

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.

Kitchen base cabinets are the cabinets that sit on the floor in your kitchen—and yes, you can stack base cabinets. Usually, homeowners stack kitchen base cabinets when building a pantry. Base cabinets come in various styles, with doors, drawers, and glass fronts—so your options for creating stacked base cabinets are endless.

Thermofoil cabinets are an affordable option for anyone who is trying to revamp their home on a budget. They are durable, come in many styles, and give your home a whole new look without breaking the bank. However, if you are looking for a long lifespan out of your cabinets or want to add resale value to your home, then you should consider higher-quality cabinets instead.
