"I got several estimates from several providers. The pricing seemed just ok with those other providers but something seemed off. Good Life came in and made sure that I was getting the correct amount of insulation (where the other service providers had under estimated) and helped me to get into a loan through the utility company for the cost of the insulation. Good life is a qualifying contractor for this and it saved me a lot of out of pocket expense. They came in and did what they had to do. They were professional and made sure the work was done well."

"Perfect wall LLC service was amazing! They went over the job with me and explained everything and taught me a thing or 2 about insulation. After the job I went to look at the results and it was exactly how he explained it! They use measuring templates you can see the actual depth of the insulation in all parts of the attic which was awesome. The vent out the exterior wall was so perfect I couldn?t even find it unless I really looked. You can usually tell if you have plaster or drywall by touch (plaster is harder, colder, and smoother than drywall) or by tapping on it (drywall sounds hollow, plaster does not). If you still cannot tell, peek under an outlet cover and check the cut edges. The rough edges show the composition of the wall. You will see either drywall (two paper sheets sandwiching gypsum material) or only plaster material (no paper sheets).

To hide drywall edges, you need to properly apply drywall tape and multiple layers of joint compound. These materials hide the seams between drywall sheets and fill the holes from drywall screws, leaving behind a smooth, flat finish to paint over. Apply joint compound smoothly, and finish the job by sanding the walls to make sure you fully hide drywall edges and other imperfections.

Choose a drill bit that is the size of the screws of the anchors you will use. You aren’t drilling through metal or concrete—hopefully—so any standard twist, wooden or all-purpose drill bit will work fine. It’s also important to have a screwdriver capable of drilling through the drywall and into the stud. The good news is most available drills, even the older ones, can do this with no issue.

Drywall mudding can be done in one day if the project is small and the desired effect isn’t too complex. If you need multiple layers of mud, one day may not be realistic. But a single room that requires little more than joint compound on the seams and screws can be done in a day or two.
