"Nixon called immediately after requesting a quote on Angi. He does Excellent work. The 90 degree weather was not a problem as his workers still Finished the job quickly. He was onsite with them everyday. Their attention to detail is impressive including cleaning up the fire damaged materials from my driveway. Also he provided license and insurance information, unlike a lot of so called “Angi-certified pro’s” Would definitely recommend"

"Jermaine and Lee did a great job installing my windows. They are knowledgeable, hard working, and reliable. They also were able to diagnose a gas leak for me which probably had been going on for some time. I would highly recommend them for window installation, carpentry and plumbing needs."

"Noel is knowledgeable, careful, exacting, neat, reliable, and personable.  His assistant, Macario, shares those qualities.  When Noel patched my ceilings after I had recessed lighting installed, they were so smooth that they hardly needed painting.  Noel saved me time and money by repairing my dryer and dehumidifier.  He also caught and repaired a small leak in my basement before it became a problem.  The subcontractor he hired to repair the grout in my bathroom did an excellent job.
My only issue with Jarrett's Home Improvement is Noel's pricing structure.  The "Saver's Program" of 8 hours for $380 is an incredible deal, but also very frustrating if you aren't able to use the 8 hours by the end of the calendar year.  Bigger projects end up costing more per hour ($65) instead of less if you have already used up the 8 hours and because his coupons provide smaller discounts the more one spends.  One really has to plan ahead to use up the hours but also not to waste them on larger projects.

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Whether or not your attic ladder needs to be fire-rated depends on your local building codes, so it’s best to check with your municipal office. However, if your ceiling meets a fire requirement, your attic ladder should as well. There are benefits of opting for a fire-rated ladder. For one, thanks to their fire-resistant material, they'll help protect your home from fire spreading from your attic, if one should break out.

Yes, a dead outlet can be dangerous and may cause a fire. The lack of power can be due to a hazardous electrical issue that poses a fire risk. If you notice a burning smell, discoloration, or sparks from a non-working outlet, it is a serious issue. It is vital to have a professional electrician investigate and fix the problem as soon as possible.

When a carbon monoxide alarm goes off, you should always take it seriously. Infrequent and occasional chirps often point to a low battery, a faulty device, or dust buildup (this usually affects smoke detectors and not standalone CO detectors). A continuous alarm signals an emergency, and you should immediately evacuate and call 911. When it comes to carbon monoxide in your home, it’s better safe than sorry.

Wiring a light switch wrong can cause a fire if the incorrect wiring causes arcing, meaning the current jumps uncontrolled from one conductor to another. Loose wires or worn wires that are not repaired or replaced can cause arcing. If you’re not 100% sure you can do the job safely, don’t attempt to wire a light switch on your own.

Wood-burning fireplaces typically make homeowners insurance more expensive, simply because they increase the risk for a fire in your home. Gas and electric inserts are less likely to bring up your insurance rates, but you should always speak with your agent to understand how installing any type of fireplace will affect your premiums.
