"Hi All, We just used American Junk Removal to gut our bathrooms and haul away all of our appliances, carpets and other chaos in our home gut renovation. Adam Chop (owner) and his team could NOT have been more professional. They arrived on time, were completely professional, COVID aware and compliant and we would recommend them without reservation for any "junk removal" or demo needs you may have. They did not ask us to share or promote them, but I was so impressed with their service and professionalism combined with the fact that they were HALF of what our contractor quoted us for the same job - that I needed to share their services. American Junk Removal - Adam Chop -1-203-Removal / 1-203-736-6825. [email protected]."

"Mike and his crew were wonderful to work with. They were professional and always communicative, worked very neatly and executed this project very well. And they were very courteous to say the least. I ended up rehiring for a large fence removal. He also did some hauling of debris just before my house sold and went the extra mile and taking an old shelf out of the basement."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

It’s often not necessary to clean up rocks before you sell or donate them, although it’s a nice gesture. Cleaning the rocks you’re getting rid of probably isn’t worthwhile if you’re selling a large volume of small rocks, but if you’re selling or donating large boulders for landscape design, a quick clean might fetch more money or help out the donation center.

No, you can’t throw your trash in any dumpster you come across—in fact, that’s considered illegal dumping, and you could be fined for it. Use your own household trash cans, and rent a dumpster for a large volume of waste. Alternatively, take it to the landfill yourself or hire a trash hauling service.

Yes, concrete is recyclable, but you can’t just drop it off at a traditional recycling center. Most major cities have specific concrete recycling centers that will accept your concrete disposal and break it down using industrial equipment. Recycled concrete can be used to create environmentally sustainable items like gabion walls to protect shorelines.

Sometimes you may be able to leave the bags with your regular trash. However, that’s not always the case. Call your local waste management prior to starting the removal and ask about the proper ways to recycle or dispose of removed insulation. In many cases, your town or municipality has a designated dumpster for building waste.

It depends on the dumpster rental company. Some may allow you to put box springs in their dumpsters, while others may not. Ask your rental company before putting a box spring into the dumpster.
