Excellent. Great workmanship. Crew were very nice and polite young men. Work was done ahead of schedule and within the quote.

Scott and his crew were very professional from start to finish. Scott provided us with a list of his customers and their addresses, so we could drive around and see his work. That was very helpful, especially when we talked to one of the homeowners who happened to be outside, and he told us he recommended them. All the work was completed in one day, including a thorough cleanup of our property.

lousy. Poor cleanup. Had to come back. Roof leaks after 10 years with both interior and exterior damages. Did come back for years to try to do repairs which did not work. He offered us $1000.- which would not come close to cost of new roof. Estimates range from $ 8000.- to $12000.- We tried to work with him but no resolution.

They did a fantastic job, and really went above and beyond. At first, I graded them as a "B" for punctuality because it took several weeks for them to make it over to my house and take care of it, but this was only because the weather this fall and winter was so terrible that Scott got backed up and couldn't get here right away. I wasn't really an emergency case or anything, so it made sense to wait, and in the meantime, he was kind enough to send some guys over to put a tarp over the leaky spots (free of charge!). So they really shouldn't be penalized for something that was beyond their control, especially since they did extra work for free to keep the rain out until they could officially remedy the situation. (The tarp job itself was done well; shortly after they put it up, we had an insanely windy storm, and it stayed in place and kept the rain out through that and several other storms that followed.) Scott seems like a really good guy, with many qualities that I appreciate in a business owner: based on the limited interaction I had with him, it appears he’s practical, he listens, he’s straightforward, he thinks carefully about the issue and considers both the big picture and the details; he explains technical subjects clearly, in layman’s language, without trade jargon; he’s flexible and open-minded about working in slightly unusual or atypical situations, and he approaches projects individually, considering what the customer needs, rather than just applying standard fixes that might not always work for every home and every homeowner. (What I’m trying to say, without saying it, is that he’s able to “think outside the box,” but I hate that expression as much as I admire the people who do it.) I feel he gave my weird roof a lot of thought in terms of the best and most affordable way to address the problem. It's difficult - sometimes impossible - to know what's causing a leak until you open up the roof to see for yourself; until then, you can't necessarily predict what needs to be fixed or replaced, or give anything but an educated guess to estimate which supplies are needed, or how many hours it'll take to fix it. I had talked to other roofers who were reluctant to even look at the leaky areas unless I committed to getting a larger scale job done, which would make it worthwhile for them to deal with the skylights, etc. I completely understand that, and I know I would benefit from fixing the whole thing, but I'm very very very broke, so I was VERY appreciative of the fact that Scott was willing to give me an estimate based on an hourly rate - and allow me to choose between three different options. I opted for the most hours - 8 hours of work, three workers - in the hopes that they could fix the leaks and still have a little extra time to patch up the areas that past roofers had done poorly, or that time and weather had compromised. Under the circumstances, it was nice to feel as though I actually had some choice, and decision-making power! When Scott's schedule had cleared up a bit, he gave me about a week's notice that they'd be there, and lo and behold, they were! So many contractors/workers show up unannounced or not at all or at weird erratic hours...and often I feel like I have to hold their hands and tour them around and be available to explain stuff about which I have only the weakest understanding - or just BE there - but these guys came over, said hi, and went to work. All they needed was a power outlet. They were pleasant, and polite, and friendly and professional. They finished up within the timeframe agreed upon. They weren't even that noisy! They did manage to cover every possible source of the leaks that they could find by applying sealant and flashing in the affected areas and areas above that would provide a path for water. With the leftover time, they tidied up and fixed the other problem spots, and added trim and flashing in spots that had been neglected. They worked over the time I'd paid for in order to finish up. They cleaned everything up, and they did NOT then proceed to tell me how effed up the roof had been, or what morons my previous roofers were, or what an idiot I’d been for hiring anyone who wasn’t them. No long boring speeches about how THEY would have done it. No mansplaining. They didn’t make me feel like Mr. Blandings. Such a refreshing change! Also, I didn't have to worry about giving them a payment that day, which was wonderful - Scott said I had 10 days upon completion to send the payment, and is also flexible with payment methods. (Again- I often have contractors who want payment at the end of every day - sometimes in advance for supplies - and often ask for cash only, or at least a check, which defeats the whole purpose of credit cards, the point of which is to cover unexpected roof emergencies!) I can’t swear that every detail was permanently resolved, because I personally did not climb onto my roof to look at what was done, and if I had, I wouldn’t know what was done, because I am not a roofer or a carpenter. I do know a) that the roof has not leaked since the day the tarp went up, despite awful weather, and b) all the past sloppy work and exposed nails and floppy, torn shingles and missing flashing appears to have been remedied. It looks tidy and sturdy. So, I’m giving them an A – if the roof caves in tomorrow, I’ll post an update.

Scott came to the house right on time, listened to my concern about a possible roof leak, inspected the problem area and explained that the problem actually was not the roof. To the untrained eye, the signs we noticed made us suspect a roof leak, and an unethical roofer could easily have convinced me that I needed a costly roof replacement. Scott was honest, not to mention knowledgeable and experienced. He didn't even charge us for his consultation. Based on this consultation, I would recommend this company and would use them again for any roofing project.

Went great. The leak was fixed quickly, on time and on budget,

excellent job. Scott did everything he said he would. He explained to me that I could understand. At first there was a very trusting but after going through a detail process looking at 4 other bids. He was an exceptional value. His bid was broken down everything was accounted for. He came when he said. His team was was slightly mash unit. Everybody new what to do and worked as a team. I would definitely refer without any reservation.

Amazing. Crew of four arrived at 7am as planned. Each had a specific task - cutting and fitting 15 rafters, carrying materials to roof, hauling debris to trailer, fitting insulation batts, etc. All worked together as a team. Owner, Scott Perry arrived at noon to check progress. Job finished and cleaned up and they were gone by 2pm.

Scott and his crew are a few cuts above the rest. They worked overtime to meet their deadline and when they had to they worked all day Sunday. There was never a single nail left in the yard, everything was cleaned up. They even turned off their music when we were around. The end result is a beautiful roof.

They did an excellent job.  Very professional.  Large crew who worked very efficiently together. Everyone was very polite.  Our yard was immaculate when they finished.  They did an excellent job cleaning up, even wiped down the siding.

First and foremost - great outfit.  Work was performed on time as scheduled.  Estimates of completion time and expense were accurate.  Our grounds around the house were left in better shape than when they started.  During job workers were very courteous and responsive to requests for small changes.  There was a minor issue after they left with one of the bath vents and they returned quickly to fix.   Along the way they had some excellent suggestions concerning the attic insulation and chimney flashing.  The contractor, Scott Perry, was easily reachable as well - which is a bottom line for myself.

Scott was professional and came promptly to give us an estimate. He was also very helpful in recommending another contractor to install new soffits and gutters for us. He coordinated with the other contractor and the job went very smoothly. The roof came out beautiful!

Scott was the first roofer I contacted for an estimate. He had always been at the top of my list and I had seen his outstanding reviews on Angie's List.
His initial consultation was an hour long. He thoroughly explained the Owens Corning system and completely outlined the process that would occur on the day of the installation. He was so professional and knowledgeable that I decided to not contact any other roofer. He also honored the 5% coupon on Angie's List which was very much appreciated.
He and his crew arrived promptly at 7:00am and the job was completed by early afternoon.
The crew was extremely hard working and their attention to detail was superior. They never took a break and cleaned up as they went along.

Stripped and replaced roof. No problems. Crew of 5 finished the work in 2 days, and cleaned up site.

Everything went great.  The owner, Scott Perry, returned calls/emails promptly.  He was on time to scope the project, had great sample materials to show me, explained in detail the nature of the work, and left me with a quote the same day.  The job was scheduled for Oct. 9.  On Oct 8, he called to let me know that the vents hadn't been delivered yet and he needed to reschedule for Oct. 11.  My first thought was, "here we go, another bad contractor".  The forecast for Oct. 11 wasn't looking good with a rain storm being predicted.  However, the storm shifted and Scott and his crew were at my house at 7:00 a.m. that day.  The crew was great.  It was obvious they knew their job.  By 4:00 p.m. that afternoon, the project was complete, everything was cleaned up, and they "swept" the yard area with a magnet to remove all nails from the ground.  I couldn't ask for better service and I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a roofing contractor.

Scott Perry of North East Builders Roofing came and gave us an estimate; we got estimates from two other contractors as well. We chose Scott because he presented his company and the work that they would do for us in a very thorough, professional manner giving us every confidence that he would run a tight ship, that what he promised would be delivered and that there would be no sloppiness, overruns, excuses, no shows, etc etc. We were right! Scott is a fine young man who is very thorough, demands excellence from his crew and gets it. They very carefully protected all of our shrubs, patio planters, furniture, etc and we had no damage to anything during the process. They BROOM SWEPT up after themselves each day!!! At the end of the first day my husband and I could sit out by the pool and enjoy our absolutely clean and neat patio and look up at the results of the first day's work. They would arrive by 6:45am (!!) and work steadily through for a good 10-12 hours. They started the job when they said they would, and they completed it on time. The work is excellent. They were able to re-use the copper valleys we had on our roof....they were quite thick and Scott and crew were very careful in removing them and re-installing them, saving us money. They re-used the lead flashing, too. At the end of each day their tarps were carefully rolled up and put away, materials covered, drive swept with magnetic roller to pick up any stray nails, etc etc. We would HEARTILY recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof.
