"I needed invasive vines and poison ivy removed from areas around my property.Matt went over the whole job with me and explained the way he would do it and assured me about the safety of his method. "Outstanding service from H&H Stump Grinding. They came out and gave us a very fair estimate and upon agreeing on a price to stump grind 6 stumps they were able to fit us into their schedule quickly. The work they performed met all our expectations and they cleaned up everything. Without hesitation I would highly recommend H&H Stump Grinding. According to scientists at Penn State University, spotted lanternflies do not typically kill the trees and plants they feed on, but they can cause branches and segments to die off. White vinegar does not kill ivy on trees because its acetic acid concentration is not high enough to overpower it. Vinegar is an effective herbicide for weeds and other plants, but not for the strength of most ivies, including poison ivy and English ivy. You should use an herbicide to kill ivy, such as one with glyphosate, imazapyr, or triclopyr.

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard.
