"Ken and his helper were amazing. Ken came out to recommend and quote light fixtures in our unfinished basement, connect a couple of Ring floodlights, and replace the doorbell transformer and install a new Ring doorbell at my residence. Ken's work is clean, fast, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely hire him again!"

"Good overall. I had to track Troy down a bit but it wasn't awful. Generally, good work and reliable. Electrical was subcontracted. The only point to note is that we had to get the lighting ourselves and we werent expecting that. Troy did send a photo (which was helpful). Being new to this, wish their was more explanation about our options. Overall, I would recommend and this was a good experience.

We understand that construction is more than simply following drawings and making sure a structure is up to code. It’s about making your vision come to life. This means that details are as important as the end result – the way joints are placed together, the careful installation of materials to showcase their beauty, the final brush stroke that finishes a project.\nFrom concept to completion, we take the time to make sure each milestone is met with the highest level of craftsmanship and professionalism. We stand behind our work, warranty every job, and make sure our clients are involved every step of the way.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for basic setups. Professional installation ensures proper wiring and energy efficiency.

When determining how far apart your can lights should be, the rule of thumb is to divide the height of the ceiling by two. The resulting number is how far apart your lights should be. For example, if your ceiling is 10 feet high, your lights should have five feet between them.

For a 10-by-10-foot room, you’ll usually need between four and six recessed lights. However, this is a general figure because each space is different. In addition to your room’s square footage, it’s also important to consider other factors, like the purpose of the recessed lights. If they’ll serve as ambient lighting, you’ll need more lights than you would if you were using them for accent lighting.

Yes, it is possible to hang a chandelier without wiring, but it depends on the design of both the chandelier and your ceiling. Many homeowners use plug-in pendant lights, adhesive hook and cord pendants, or nonelectrical light sources to hang a chandelier without wiring.

Yes, your house's age can affect how much it costs to install new light fixtures. If you have a very old house with an equally old wiring system, then chances are you'll need to update your wiring to accommodate your new fixtures. It can take anywhere from one to three or more hours to update an old house's wiring for a new light fixture, and since electricians charge by the hour, you'll want to factor this extra time in when budgeting for the project.
