"Ken and his helper were amazing. Ken came out to recommend and quote light fixtures in our unfinished basement, connect a couple of Ring floodlights, and replace the doorbell transformer and install a new Ring doorbell at my residence. Ken's work is clean, fast, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely hire him again!"

We understand that construction is more than simply following drawings and making sure a structure is up to code. It’s about making your vision come to life. This means that details are as important as the end result – the way joints are placed together, the careful installation of materials to showcase their beauty, the final brush stroke that finishes a project.\nFrom concept to completion, we take the time to make sure each milestone is met with the highest level of craftsmanship and professionalism. We stand behind our work, warranty every job, and make sure our clients are involved every step of the way.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Halogen and LED light bulbs are the most common bulbs for recessed lighting, but you don’t need any special type. LEDs are growing in popularity because they’re the most energy-efficient, which can help you save money in the long run and minimize how often you need to change your light bulbs.

Wet-rated, recessed-style shower lighting is most often recommended by electrical experts for use in a shower. This is because recessed lights are designed with a sealed flush-to-ceiling mount with the light housing and electrical junction box situated in a hole in the ceiling, away from splashing water. The packaging for any light should detail whether it’s suitable for a shower.

Track lighting typically needs to be hardwired, connecting directly to the electrical wiring in your ceiling for a permanent and reliable power source. Hardwiring provides a clean and professional look with no visible cords. However, plug-in track lighting options can be connected to a standard electrical outlet, offering easier installation and flexibility. The choice between hardwired and plug-in track lighting depends on your needs, preferences, and existing electrical setup.

You don’t need to be an electrician to change a light bulb. You also don’t have to be an electrician to replace a light fixture with another compatible one. But, if you are installing a light fixture for the first time, it’s worth hiring a licensed professional for the job.

While a handyperson may charge a bit less, a qualified professional can make sure everything is up to code and working exactly as it should be. This is especially true for more complicated lighting projects.

Pendant lights are very versatile, and you can almost always find one with your preferred style that accepts your preferred bulb. Today, many fixtures use LED bulbs, though it’s still completely possible to find one that uses halogen, fluorescent, or even old-school incandescent bulbs. The manual that comes with your light should tell what types of bulbs you can use with it.
