"Tech was able to tell me what the error code meant but did not want me to order part until testing with volt meter. Diag appointment with volt meter did not cost extra. Tech gave me part numbers and it fixed the problem."

"We have had a Capital Oven with intermittent igniter issues for the past several months and called over to see if they can help get it back to working order before the Holiday cooking season. John C at A Action Appliance showed up in the time window provided, had the problem diagnosed/confirmed in approximately 10 minutes. He had the parts replaced and oven back in running order in less than an hour. He was nice, clearly communicated the problem and confirmed full price of repair before completing. Will use again in the future."

"We had to wait almost 3 months to get our new shower installed, parts were ordered but took a long time to be delivered. The installers were on time, hard working and cleaned up each day. The price was high for a shower stall."

"The job was done perfectly. Efficiently. Installer, Kyle, communicated everything about the job before beginning and that continued until finished. A tub/showers was removed and a walk in shower installed. The entire process was done to our complete satisfaction, very neatly and perfectly cleaned up when finished. Company and personnel were easy to work with."

"Bill called me within 30 minutes of submitting this project on a tuesday morning. The expansion tank running from my furnace was leaking and I was concerned about a pipe burst, he asked me detailed questions and had me walk him through (on the phone) what I was looking at. Ultimately it was a simple fix that he helped me do myself for no charge. This is the kind of customer service that will make me use him for all future plumbing work."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Bathroom tiles can contain asbestos, just the same as patio tiles or kitchen tiles. Remember that asbestos was used primarily for its insulative and fire-resistant properties, both of which are desired in a house. Before we knew asbestos caused cancers and other diseases, it made a lot of sense to include it in many different building materials, including bathroom tiles.

A professional indoor air quality inspection takes anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the size of your home and the number of necessary samples. After the test, the specialist will discuss the findings, but you won’t get a full written report for 2 to 10 days, though you can ask your pro to expedite the process, if needed.

If you think you’ve touched asbestos, do not put on a mask. This is important because you may take the asbestos fibers on your hands on trap them in the mask. Make your way to a sink and wash your hands thoroughly. Remove any clothes and seal them in a bag, then take a shower. Call your doctor and let them know you’ve been exposed to asbestos, and make sure you see them as soon as possible. The reason you keep the clothes is in case anyone wants to confirm the presence of asbestos.

If you can locate building records, you may be able simply to see what type of tiles (or bonding agent) was used. Any flooring made between 1950 and 1989 more than likely contains asbestos. Asbestos tiles can also be slightly thicker than other tiles and often measure 9” x 9”, 12” x 12”, and 18” x 18. Black mastic was a commonly used adhesive that contains asbestos.

No, you do not have to worry about new popcorn ceilings having asbestos. All residential building materials used since the mid-1980s stopped including asbestos, so new popcorn ceilings have no risk of asbestos. You can still create a textured drywall ceiling with a popcorn texture if you like, but new techniques have no risk of adding asbestos.
