"So glad to have you as a continued customer. Thanks."
"Thank you for your kind words. We hope you are customers for quite some time."
This contractor left another job to come to help us and arrived within 60-90 minutes. He shifted his schedule for the next few days to make sure that he could help us out in a timely manner. He also showed me how I could turn on the circuit breaker once every day for 5-10 minutes to get the toilets flushed once a day.
He remained in contact with us every single day until we had running water again. Although reluctant to give us a written quote (he was concerned about the amount of rock he'd encounter while digging the new trench and wasn't sure the first piece of equipment he brought in would be sufficient), he did give me steady updates to reassure me that he was still running close to the original verbal estimate he'd given. When you don't have running water, there are few options -- you take the first guy who comes to help. One doesn't have the luxury of shopping around for quotes.
Anyway, when the job was done, he handed us a bill that was actually a litle bit LESS than the amount he had originally quoted.
We would recommend this contractor to others without any reservations whatsoever. He is the owner and performed all the work himself. He was pleasant to deal with, always punctual, and very much a man of his word.
"Thanks for all the description. It was definitely a tricky job but not impossible. As you pointed out most people would like a dollar amount up front but not knowing what obstacles we must cross for this type of work we would rather give an educated estimate rather than a inflated price. I'd say it worked out good in your case. We are very happy to work with "real world" people who have understanding. Still can't understand why your previous water treatment tech installed the system the way he did. Glad everything is working out now. Thanks lots."
"Thanks for the review. We could have used one of the many "cheaper" pumps we have access to. But we used a Goulds pump because we know we wont have to worry about quality. But don't be fooled lately even they have fallen victim to big box sales competition so to compete they now offer different versions. The extra cost is hardly noticeable over the life span of the pump. We prefer to stay with the GS series as we installed in your well. This is a stainless steel pump that has proven itself to us over the years. With a factory that not only stands behind its product but has come out many times and given training on their product line. It is the same series that I have installed in my own well. Also not quite as common but we just pulled a pump out of a customers well with a date code of April 1973. That's 41 years old! Thanks again for the comments."
