"I was very impressed with David's responsiveness and every member of his crew was a pleasure. They completely removed the kitchen floor (and several layers of subfloor) in my 100+ year-old home, made repairs to floor joists and installed new flooring that looks beautiful. It was an evolving project and I appreciated the team's flexibility and speed with which they completed the project."

"Dameon did a great job! He stripped the wallpaper of our powder room and repainted it. Installed a new sink and it’s faucet and installed a new toilet. Everything done professionally and with great quality. Called afterwards a few times to make sure everything was satisfactory."

"Bob Reicher came to my house,  took measurements and then went with me
to Loew's to choose the right door on a Saturday afternoon and he then
picked up the door  on Monday, November 11th, a holiday, and he and his
employee installed the sliding glass door all in one day.  He is exceptionally
accurate and neat in his work.
The building is 30 years old and I know it took my neighbor 2 days to install their door due to an improper fitting.; however Bob
had no problems fitting my door.  It fit perfectly the first time and they completed the job in less than 6 hours, because he took accurate measurements beforehand. He knew exactly what he was doing.
He had one worker with him and both were precise, polite, and professional.
Several years ago Mr. Reicher also put on my back deck.  And then too he took  accurate measurements and was the only contractor to submit a precise drawing to the Condo Assoicatiion and the Building Inspector.
I would highly recommend Bob Reicher for any construction project he chooses.

Home Building questions, answered by experts

The term “cottage” is subjective, so there’s no rigid definition, but it generally refers to a small home with simple and purposeful architecture that embraces nature and focuses on charm over everything else. Cottages are typically 1 or 1 1/2-stories tall, usually with gabled roofs, and are built out of natural materials that help make the structure a part of the surrounding nature rather than something that stands out from it. A big part of what makes a cottage a cottage is the decor, which includes natural materials from the nearby area.

Shipping container homes last at least 25 years on average, but they can last even longer with proper maintenance. Since shipping containers are made from metal, they’re quite vulnerable to rust and corrosion. This issue is exacerbated in coastal areas or areas with a lot of precipitation. To extend the life span of your container home, install siding that protects the exterior.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

Green homes are often more expensive to build, averaging around $200 per square foot compared to the $150 per square foot you’d spend to build a standard home. However, green homes can save you money on your utility bills by consuming less energy or creating energy using solar panels or wind turbines on-site. They’re more expensive to build, but they often end up costing less in the long run.

A custom home is one that you design from the ground up, allowing you to customize everything from the square footage to the interior layout to all of the materials used. A spec home is one that a builder has designed and gotten approvals for. Spec homes may give you some limited options for the layout and materials, but most of the build is pre-set. Custom homes cost more and take longer to build.
