"This is the second time Tom has been to the house to fix an appliance. From start to finish dealing with Action Appliance is great-they’ll continue to be my first call. Tom makes me feel comfortable about asking questions (which I’m sure is more annoying than he’d ever let on!) and is totally forthright when answering. Can’t recommend them enough."

"I had them come back to do a new dishwasher install and Garbage Disposer replacement after a successful over the range Microwave install. This guy does it all - electrical, plumbing, cabinet modification. I couldn't be happier. Pick them for YOUR appliance/kitchen project. You won't be disappointed. Decades of end to end Appliance install/repair experience count!"

"I had an outstanding experience with Alliance Appliance. The repair technician, Steve, did an excellent job fixing my Bosch in-wall oven. He was extremely careful when removing the unit to diagnose and complete the repair, which I really appreciated. Steve took the time to clearly explain what the issue was and walked me through the repair process so I fully understood what was being done. His professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. A few days after the repair, he even followed up to make sure everything was still working properly, something you don’t see very often today. On top of that, his pricing was very fair and competitive. Based on this experience, I will only be using Alliance Appliance for any future appliance repairs. Truly outstanding service! Can't say enough good things about Steve and his company!"

"The customer service from Ramarsh is outstanding. He excelled in many projects- repairing a large window in upstairs room; removing and replacing rotted shingles on outside wall; repairing a pocket door; etc. He is prompt; responsive; and fairly priced. I highly recommend him for any type of repair."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can operate an electric fireplace (and other types of fireplaces) without the remote. If you’ve misplaced the remote or are waiting for the replacement to arrive, you can still control the fireplace at the access panel. You can find the access panel near the firebox, typically located at the bottom or top of this section.

Choosing a unit with higher BTUs can use more electricity if the BTUs are more than what’s necessary for your room size. However, choosing an AC with BTUs that match the size of your room or house, your unit will cool your space efficiently. On the flip side, choosing a system with not enough BTUs can cause the system to work harder to try to cool the space, leading to more electricity consumption and higher energy bills.

Repair costs range from $50 to $300, depending on appliance type and replacement part availability.

Cabinetry is typically the most expensive component of a kitchen remodel, often accounting for 30% to 40% of the total budget. The cost for new or modified cabinets can range from $2,000 to $28,000, depending on the kitchen's size, materials, and whether they are custom-designed. To save money, you can refinish or reface existing cabinets if they are in good condition. The next largest expenses are typically new appliances, which can cost $500 or more per item, followed by countertops and flooring.

The temperature on your oven thermostat is actually an average temperature. It’s normal for an oven’s actual temperature to vary by a few degrees at any given time. In other words, when you test the thermostat, your oven thermometer may never hit 350 degrees Fahrenheit exactly (though gas ovens tend to be more on the nose). You may want to take a few readings with an oven thermometer just to get a sense of why your gas oven is not heating correctly.
