"We had an amazing experience with All About Blinds! Everyone was more than helpful, kind and really worked hard to make everything perfect! I would 100% recommend them to anyone! We ordered 2 room darkening cell shades and 14 cordless faux wood blinds and they were made very well, installed timely and beautifully, and were extremely reasonably priced! Sven and Jean were amazing!"

"Did not recieve the estimate after the consultant arrived. When I called back received the estimate very quickly. However the estimate was over 20K for 15 plantation shutter windows which is about double any of the other estimates."

"Everything from first contact with the office staff to set up the appointment to when the installers left was a completely positive experience!
Office schedulers found us an evening appointment around our work schedules and were very friendly.
Al Vestro, our salesman, contacted us prior to arrival, and even showed up early once checking if we were available. He carefully went over the options, and didn't try to "upsell" at all. He explained that a higher sun-filtering glass was available, but generally not needed in New England. Also mentioned the option of "divided lites" to go on the outside of the window to retain the original look of the sash bars, and advised if we had a historic home it would be required but since we had just a "normal" home, it would mean more difficult cleaning without a lot of real difference in look. I appreciated his honesty in showing the options without the hype to sell the more expensive options. He recommended the best option for our home and neighborhood. Also, there was no pressure to sign the contract right then and there. He provided the estimate at the time of the inspection and then left it up to us to decide and get back to them if we wanted to proceed. He also explained the financing options with their financing company and we opted for the one year same as cash option so we didn't have to write a check for the deposit. Much easier option! Al estimated 8-10 weeks between when we signed the contract and when the windows would be installed. This put us at about a week or so after Thanksgiving. Not ideal, but we wanted them in for the winter.
Once we signed the contract, David DiGiorgi called and set up the appointment to measure the windows. My husband was home that day, and said he was very punctual, friendly and professional.
David called earlier this week and said the windows were ready and set up a day for the installation - which was today. Nov. 6th, at least three weeks earlier than expected! it couldn't have worked out better, considering we are having a warm spell with temps in the 70's today (New England, early November - go figure!)
We were told the installers would be at the house at 8:30. The first truck arrived at 8:20 and all the installers were on site by 8:30. We took care to move things away from the windows before they arrived so they could get right to work. I did not take things off the walls because we were told we would not have to. But they had to do some heavy deconstruction work to get the old windows out and the guys took the collectible plates off the dining room walls so they wouldn't fall and break. I so appreciated that care and thoughfulness.
They started the actual work around 8:45 and were done installing all 9 windows by 1:00. They cleaned up everything, and other than a little dirt on the kitchen counter, and of course the new windows, you would not have known we had any work done. It was spotless - cleaner even than it was when they arrived!
While it is very early to really judge if they are sealed well, we carefully looked at all the windows and can see no gaps in the seals.
I am more than satisfied with the whole experience with DiGiorgi. They may not be the cheapest contractor out there, but I found their customer service and workmanship to be top notch. I will definitely use them again when it comes time to replace the other 9 windows and the roof. And I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking for quality products and workmanship, and professional, easy to deal with people for their next home improvement project.

"Dylan did a fabulous job managing our window order, ensuring we had the right measurements and showing us how to use the windows and door. Diego, the crew leader, was polite and worked with us to move everything we needed away from the old windows. We are happy with our new windows! Home genius also installed our new roof and gutters. Each job was completed in one day including cleanup. They were careful to minimize damage to flower beds. Crews were on time, and minimized disturbance. Home Genius has done a good job choosing their contractors and job site managers, clearly focused on customer service and provides quality workmanship."

"I recently purchased a home that have Harvey classic windows. Several of the windows had catches that were no longer attached which prevented us from opening them. Although the windows were NOT purchased and installed by the Highland Window Company , I spoke to Marc and he offered to come out and look at them. Marc, again fixed all the issues and also provided guidance on how to resolve should the catches detach again. He did not charge for the service he provided or the time it took even though I attempted to pay, he refused. It is remarkable and rare that a company who did not sell the product or install it, would agree to take the time to look at the issue, most will not even speak with you if they did not install the window. If we ever need to replace our Harvey windows, we will definitely, call Marc and utilize the Highland window company."

Metal is one of the best types of hurricane shutters because they are the most durable and longest lasting option. This shutter type will likely cost more than other materials like plywood, but metal hurricane shutters are a permanent solution compared to the temporary nature of putting plywood over your windows during a hurricane. You should also consider hurricane panels and automatic roll-down shutters that are useful for emergency situations.
In most cases, custom window treatments are well worth the investment. Custom window treatments not only elevate your curb appeal and make your home more visually pleasing inside, but they also often do a better job of boosting your home’s energy efficiency than non-custom treatments, and they usually last longer. Plus, specialty window treatments can increase your home value if maintained well, so your investment is more worthwhile in the long run in most cases, too.
Hurricane shutters cost about $3,700 on average, ranging from $1,500 to 5,900, depending on the style, size, materials, and your location. Materials may include metal, plastic, fabric, or wood.
Additional cost factors to consider include the number of windows, the time of year you install, and necessary permits. Keep in mind that if you purchase and install hurricane shutters during hurricane season, namely June through November in most states, you can expect to pay more due to increased demand.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
Custom window treatments cost around $900 per window, and prices usually fall between $150 and $4,800. Your total will depend on many factors, including the type of window treatment, the amount and size of the windows, your home’s location, and the labor cost. Blinds and shutters tend to be the most affordable custom window treatments at $600 to $2,700, and the most expensive options are valances, drapes, curtains, and estate shutters, costing up to $3,000.
