"Choosing Gallery of Kitchens & Baths for our bathroom remodel was the best decision we could have made. The design team – with their vast knowledge and experience –guided us through every step of the process. We were particularly impressed with the plethora of options they gave which allowed us to access some of the most luxurious and high-quality European brands. We settled on that and we couldn’t be happier that we did because the Pittori cabinetry they installed has added a level of sophistication to our bathroom that we never thought possible! Plus, we have to applaud the team on their professionalism and dedication to the project. We couldn’t have hired a better team! To top it off, the flexibility in design – combined with their use of advanced technology like 3D CAD models – ensured that every detail was accurately brought to life. The final product is wonderful than we could have asked for! Our bathroom is now a sanctuary of luxury and comfort, and we owe it all to their talented team!"

"A plumber from another company had been by my house and noticed that my well pump was rapidly cycling and gave me an estimate of around $3000 to replace one or two pressure tanks.  No other options were offered.   The job seemed simple and the materials not so expensive, so I thought that estimate was high.   I called various friends to see if they had a favorite plumber they'd recommend.  A realtor recommended Joe.
I called Joe that afternoon. He (1) answered his phone when I called him one afternoon.   He said he'd call back that night.   He didn't because he worked past 9pm, but (2) did call me the next morning and we set up a visit to deal with my well pump cycling frequently.   No long wait before I could get an appointment.  No inconvenient times.  No vague estimates of when he'd arrive even though it was a mid-afternoon appointment.
Today, on the day of the appointment, Joe called me 50 minutes in advance and said he was running early and wondered if I'd like him to come 30 min earlier than the appointed time.   He said he's rarely early like that, but he was today.
Joe (3) showed up right when he said he would.   He (4) quickly diagnosed the problem as there being no air in the pressure tank.  (I had suspected that but didn't know how to verify or (with my very old tank) how to correct it.)  He quickly moved to the solution of simply using a compressor to recharge the tank using a nipple on the tank that he pointed out.   He trained me how to do it myself next time.
It was all done quickly and professionally.  Kudos to Joe.  He has a new regular customer.

"This was the second time we used H L Bowman for our plumbing needs and we have been impressed both times. Their plumbers are prompt, courteous, and friendly, in addition to being great at their craft. For this visit, I had a leak under a kitchen sink and did not realize that I needed to have the entire faucet replaced. The plumber recommended the closest plumbing supply store and waited while I selected the one I wanted. He efficiently did the replacement. Very happy with H L Bowman and would highly recommend them."

"Luis Septic Service agreed to replace our septic ejection pump and tank alarm with the pump and alarm switch I had purchased. As we tested together we agreed that the Alarm switch or circuitry was the reason the alarm had triggered and not because the tank had overflowed. I elected to replace the pump as the old one was 7 yrs old. We worked together and completed the project successfully ... $500"

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Asbestos is commonly found in certain older homes, depending on the time period in which they were built. Asbestos use in home construction began in the 1920s and peaked after World War II before being limited by legislation in the ’70s, so a house constructed in 1880 is unlikely to contain asbestos, while one built in 1950 is much more likely to. Research a home’s history to determine the time period when it was built and any renovations made since.

If you hire a dedicated asbestos inspector near you in addition to your local home inspector, it will cost between $200 and $800. If, however, your general home inspector happens to be certified as an asbestos inspector, they can charge you a smaller fee and tack on the cost to the home inspection. In general, home inspectors do not do physical testing, but will provide a visual assessment so you know what you are working with.

Epoxying over asbestos tiles is generally considered a safe option when done correctly. Epoxy acts as a sealant, encapsulating the asbestos tiles and preventing the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The key is ensuring that the asbestos tiles are in good condition, firmly adhered to the substrate, and not damaged or deteriorating. This method is only appropriate for tiles that are undamaged and securely in place. If the asbestos tiles are already loose, damaged, or deteriorating, encapsulating them with epoxy may not be a sufficient solution, as it might not address the potential for ongoing asbestos exposure.

Unfortunately, asbestos is not easily identified and can often be hidden in plain sight in your home. While it can look like fluffy fibers, tiny pieces can also appear in materials like plastic or cement, making it impossible to identify on your own properly.

Plus, since asbestos is so dangerous when disturbed, you should never root around to try and find it. This job is best for a professional who can test for the material properly.

When learning how to test for asbestos in a popcorn ceiling, you have an option for a DIY job or to hire a professional tester. You can purchase a kit at a hardware store and use personal protective equipment while doing the test. If you don’t want to risk any potential exposure to asbestos, hire a professional asbestos testing company instead.
