"I was experience a sewer back up in my basement, the tech came within an hour. Extremely professional, knew exactly what he was doing. Cleared the line and showed me a bunch of roots, explained he could use high pressure water to get em out, I called roto rooter two years ago and they didn?t even mention the possibility of that, they told me it would be 14k to dig it. I gave the guy the okay to clear the line out with water, and I can?t believe he got the line looking brand new. Professional, affordable, left the place cleaner than when they came, would 100% recommend them."

"I'm extremely happy with the service; Rooterman came by on a Saturday to provide an estimate. He said he'd be back on Monday between 11:00 AM and 1:00PM. He arrived just before 11:00AM. He was efficient and neat. We had the kitchen faucet replaced and 2 hand held shower heads put in the bathrooms. He also unclog a drain. I would definitely recommend Rooterman."

Customers say: Quality work

"Todd made a trip to my home to assess my needs We discussed types and brands of fixtures and he recommended those with which he has had the best outcomes in service and reliability. He purchased the faucets and a couple days later came to install them. He was pleasant to have in my home, worked in a very professional way, gave good advice for future projects, and cleaned up. I valued his professional work ethic and advice on future projects. I will definitely call him when I need more work done."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.

A plumber can get to the bottom of your smelly drain and clean it with specialized jets, hoses, and drain-safe cleaning solutions. It is also smart to call in a plumber if you suspect your drain smell is coming from a stubborn clog or even a leaky pipe.

There are several ways to tell if your gutter downspout drain is backed up. The most obvious sign is when you see water flowing over your gutter edges. This can occur during everything from light rain to a rainstorm. Additional signs can include peeling paint around your downspout, visible dirt around your downspout, and moisture on the side of the house. If you're having ongoing problems with clogs caused by a poorly designed or worn-out gutter system, consider getting a quote for gutter replacement cost.

Most commercial liquid drain cleaners work in 15 to 30 minutes. Consult the label on the bottle for additional instructions or time suggestions to prevent damage to your drainpipes. Alternative solutions such as baking soda, salt, white vinegar, and/or boiling water can take longer since they are less harsh than liquid drain cleaners.
