"Andrew was great on time and personable. He knew what he was doing and even showed me the issues. He fixed what he was able to and advised me on what I need to do next since the next issue was not the plumbing. When I was urgently looking for someone to come fix the leak I had, everyone else was unable to make it the day of. Andrew made it in an hour from speaking with him. I would recommend his services to anyone needing a plumber."

"Jim is the magician of plumbing. I expressed what we needed done for my mother's home. I was told by another company I needed a new furnace or install a water heater to get hot water in the house, Do to very blocked coil in the furnace due to years of deposits. The other company serviced the furnace every year and this happens. 40 plus of service, and they screwed us. JIM came over on Super Bowl Sunday and looked at the situation. He said that if it was his house, he wouldn't get a new furnace but put in a water heater if the coil was bad. Jim stated I BELIEVE I can unclog this and save this furnace. WELL, after an hour or 2 of him using a pump and solution to fix our issue, the magic happened. HOT WATER again, after not having for weeks. He saved us over $1700 for the water heater route or over $8500 furnace route. THANK YOU, JIM. You really saved my Mom from this Burden. Jim is now my mother's new service person, Because he cares about people and his work!"

"We had a lot of fixtures to replace, each with a different challenge. I asked for quality products and Cliff delivered with American Made Prier Plumbing and PEX piping. I explained the details and he was on the job the next day. He gave me the estimate and it seemed fair. When he was done, everything looked great and worked perfectly. Cliff is easy to work with and will deliver what you specified. When he was done, he cleaned up the job sites completely. The final bill matched the estimate. No hidden charges. I would hire him again for any plumbing problems in the future. I would recommend him to everyone."

An important indicator of their skill is their position in the industry - three different plumbing companies have recommended All Star Rooter. They will calmly approach a stressful situation and do their best to reach a successful outcome. On this occasion they were able to clear an on-going clog efficiently."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Prepare for CT winters by shutting off and draining all exterior hose bibs in late fall. Insulate pipes in unheated spaces to prevent bursts. During winter, maintain heat in all rooms to protect your plumbing system. In spring, test your sump pump before heavy rains arrive and inspect basements for moisture. Before summer, check irrigation systems and outdoor connections. Finally, inspect your water heater for sediment buildup every fall.

Helpful?

All major plumbing work in Danbury requires permits and a licensed professional to ensure compliance with the state code. Coordinate with your local water provider when altering service lines from the street. If you rely on a private septic system, your project requires separate health approvals. Account for subsurface ledge rock, which complicates underground excavations. Additionally, older homes feature aging cast iron or galvanized pipes requiring full replacement.

Helpful?

In Danbury, wet basements point to foundation seepage rather than plumbing leaks when moisture appears only after rain. Sewer odors indicate a failed trap or a cracked yard lateral. Persistent low water pressure isolated to one fixture means you have a plumbing issue. Ceiling stains during winter freeze-thaw cycles stem from ice dams on your roof rather than damaged pipes. Always monitor these signs to direct your repair efforts.

Helpful?

Subsurface ledge rock in elevated Danbury neighborhoods requires specialized excavation equipment for underground plumbing projects. Older homes present compounding challenges, including brittle cast iron drains, corroded galvanized supply lines, and mixed pipe materials. Slab-on-grade construction demands concrete cutting to access drain lines. Additionally, properties at higher elevations experience lower municipal water pressure, requiring specific system designs to ensure adequate flow throughout your home.

Helpful?

Proactive plumbing upgrades significantly boost your home's resale appeal in CT. Addressing deficiencies like aging sewer laterals, corroded galvanized pipes, or outdated water heaters prevents deal delays during buyer inspections. Always secure closed permits for completed work to avoid disclosure complications and transaction friction. Furthermore, modernizing fixtures and improving water pressure during bathroom or kitchen renovations directly increases your property value in this competitive real estate market.
