"Scott and his assistant re-stretched barely used, 10-year-old carpet in a guest room. They did an excellent job and cleaned up nicely when they finished. Excellent customer service experience and outstanding communication -- returned phone calls, status updates, etc."

"We scheduled an in-house estimate for replacing our family room carpet with wood and replacing upstairs carpet. The sales person came in on time but he was not interested in listening to what we wanted. He had very limited choice of wood floors and only two choices of carpets. His behavior was pretty condescending. When we asked him to estimate for carpet replacement in our bedrooms, he said and quot;it will be expensiveand quot;. We had researched before calling him and hence were not as ignorant as he thought us to be. We also had an idea of the price for the service we were asking for. In fact, his estimate was close to our expectation. But when we were asking for other possible options (since he had limited choices) he said if and quot; we can afford a Ford then Mercedes will seem expensiveand quot;. Who talks to customers like that? when we said we need to think this over since we have a few more estimates to check, he said we have to decide immediately . We wanted him to leave the estimate so that we could think it over. He declined and left. What a waste of time!

Small jobs welcome

"Maximo completed my basement and kitchen. He did exceptional work, not only did it come out to be beautiful but everything was great quality. Price was fair and he followed through with everything that he said he would do. He came when he said he would and was very respectful and friendly. I’ve been getting compliments from his jobs and would definitely recommend him for any of your flooring needs!"

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Frequent vacuuming and spot cleaning, plus periodic deep cleaning to preserve condition.

You can use a carpet patch to replace a single section of carpet. You’ll cut out the damaged section and then replace it with a caret patch. The patch should be the same color as the existing carpet. You can also hire a professional carpet repair company to get it done.

The best way to fix carpet matting is to start by vacuuming thoroughly in multiple directions to lift the flattened fibers. For more stubborn spots, apply moisture with an ice cube or steam, then fluff the carpet using a spoon, comb, or carpet brush. A blow dryer or warm iron over a damp towel can also help restore the carpet’s texture. For deep or widespread matting, a professional cleaning is your best bet to fluff your carpet back up to its former glory.

Vomit contains organic fluids along with whatever else comes out with it. When left without cleaning, vomit, and its odor can reach deep into carpet fibers and become very difficult to remove without a deep cleaning. In some cases, the combination can cause permanent carpet staining.

The life span of carpet in a home with children and animals depends on factors like the carpet material’s quality, how frequently you clean and maintain it, and the level of foot traffic. On average, carpets need to be replaced every five to 15 years. Signs of wear, matting, or persistent odors may indicate that it's time to contact a local flooring company to replace your carpet.
