"James and his team at Juggs Paving and Masonry did an amazing job on our new patio! It is more than we even hoped for! James was incredibly informative and patient with us as we made our selections and asked question after question. The work itself looks beautiful and clean. Our yard was left in perfect shape and there is no indicator that there were people working at our house for a week. We were greatly appreciative of how well they cleaned up. We have received nothing but compliments on the work that was done to create the beautiful stairs and patio that we now have. We are looking forward to using our patio as a family and for all our future picnics and events."

"Jose showed up on time for the estimate. He put it in writing in a contract that was not written in clear english. I sent a deposit and texted for a work date. When he finally called me, he did not even know if he'd received the deposit. He told me he'd do the work with 6 guys. His brother-in-law shoed up with one guy. House came out great except for dirty windows. But the stone patio and walkways were damaged. After they left, I picked up pieces of bluestone and concrete. They offered t come back and fix it for a price to be determined. But I hired someone else. I would not hire them again."

"The chimney work took two days (less than I thought) and he did a great job in our price range!  I was impressed that he gave us several options on what could be done.  He worked fast (I wish I had half his energy) and knew what he was doing.  He was respectful of my time and showed up within minutes of when he said he would, got to work and stayed with it to get as much done during the day as he could.  The chimney looks great and I'm very satisfied with his work.  I have hired him again to do some plumbing work for me and was totally satisfied with that job as well.  I would recommend him for any work around the house that you may have - he's definitely worth the call.

"Representative promptly returned my call and made an appointment to review the job.  The representative arrived puctually and explained what would be done and approximate timeframes.  He answered all my questions in detail.
This bid involved nearly 3,500 sq ft of crushed rock and asphalt which accounts for the price quote.
I did not select this company because I obtained another bid for the same services at a lower price

"Small repair to my chimney. We noticed a spot on our ceiling we contacted a few contractors but I guess the job was too small for them to bother with it. H&L Roofing responded immediately and got the job done 2 days later. Highly recommend them"

Repair Patio questions, answered by experts

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.

Clean glass regularly, inspect seals and frames, and address minor damage promptly to prevent further issues.

The cost to build a sunroom averages around $47,000, but the price can range from $5,000 to $140,000 for high-end, custom projects. On a square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $150 and $300. The total cost is influenced by the sunroom's type, size, materials, and other factors.

Common types and their typical costs include:

  • Three-season room: $10,000–$40,000

  • Four-season room: $25,000–$80,000

  • Glass solarium: $30,000–$75,000

  • Conservatory or garden room: $5,000–$80,000

  • Atrium: $10,000–$35,000

  • Prefabricated sunroom: $5,500–$30,000

Additional cost factors include permits, site preparation, foundation type, insulation, roofing, windows, doors, electrical work, heating and cooling systems, and your geographic location.

A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it meets certain criteria. For instance, it must be completely enclosed with solid walls and a roof. It should also have a heating and cooling source similar to the rest of the home. Finally, the porch should have direct access to and from the interior of your house.
