"Fernando and his team did a complete gut renovation of a full bathroom in my East Rock Victorian in 2021. I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism and the quality of work. "George listens to the customer, makes suggestions if necessary and proceeds with a contract. Said contract has a price range that he never exceeded depending on whether or not unforeseen issues occur. Cement is naturally water-resistant, whereas drywall soaks it in, which can lead to warping or mold growth. Always use a backer board treated with a waterproof membrane for bathrooms and other chronically damp areas to ensure complete tile shower waterproofing.

When tiling over concrete, you should install an anti-fracture membrane after the concrete has been prepared. The anti-fracture membrane acts as a moisture barrier and should be installed to protect the tiles from moisture which helps maintain their integrity. Often, Ditra, a brand name, is used interchangeably with moisture barrier.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on.
