"Excellent service. Large crew completed all tasks in one day with no problems. The team was especially good at avoiding damage to the drywall for new outlets. No surprise charges. Dr. Electric provided all parts needed as part of the original estimate (unlike another electrical company that gave me a quote without including parts). Able to respond within three days of work request. I will definitely call Dr. Electric again for future electrical work."

"Front Range Electric did an awesome job for us at a great price. Nick, their electrician on site, was very helpful, he listened to our issues, made recommendations, stepped us through his work explaining everything as he went along. We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience and highly recommend them."

"☆☆☆☆☆ dream team COMPANY! I had most contact with Julian throughout the job, but his partner and Electrician were JUST AS NICE. They had cloths on my floors, as they were in and out of my crawl space. They even left to get a particular component, specific for my install. No damage to home. There was no laughing or joking around. They were concentrated on install, measuring, calculating out loud between the three of them. No cussing or profanity, either. Julian was professional and explained everything to me, including why manual was left on unit, so when inspector came, it was there, as it couldn't be signed off without it. Thermostat looks great! He also knew a lot about furnaces, which is my next thing. *Beware of companies won't give you prices on ANYTHING and/or charge you estimate to come to your house... Another reason I picked PEAK HOME was their receptionists! Sweetest, most understanding ladies! If you need to install A/C, go with this company - definitely recommend!"

"We are selling our house and a few outlets went out. We contacted Essential Electric and Bobby got back to our inquiry. He came out during our scheduled appointment and got our outlets working right away. He was in and out within 45 minutes and he charged us a very reasonable price to assess the problem and fix the problem. Will definitely recommend them to our friends and family. He was very professional and helpful on what was going on."

"It went great! Not only did Peter and his apprentice do the jobs effectively and functionally, they made everything look beautiful and clean! We also appreciated Peter's suggested improvements which were smart and safety-oriented. We highly recommend All Star Electric and would definitely use them again! On punctuality, they ran late due to previous appointments taking longer (understandable) but the All Star Electric office kept us updated. They were professional and courteous so we didn't mind the wait."

"Foster Electric, A plus, in our book !! Needed an electrician fast, they were booked up, but worked us in !!! did an amazing job for us !! They came right out !! And were on time !! And performed the work in a timely manner. They found the problem immediately and were quick to fix it. Also said if we had any more issues they would come right back ! WE did, and they DID come right back out. !! Very honest and reputable !! We had Tom and would have him back again !! Cannot say enough good things about this man and about this company ! Also very reasonable !! If we build again in the future, Foster will definitely be doing the wiring of our home !! Again we are very pleased with this company !! Don't hesitate to call them if you need an electrician !! Judi and Barry Wallace"

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

Local electricians with experience in your area understand the local building codes, which is very important when doing new electrical work. They also have experience with the kind of electrical problems homes in your location may have, and even the components that were used in the original construction, which leads them to make faster and better decisions.

Yes, electricians must be licensed, certified, and in most cases, insured. Licensing requirements vary by state and local municipality, but most U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. It's always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. Even if licensing is not required in your area, hiring a licensed and experienced electrician often leads to a better end result.

A license is a legal requirement to operate a business and is necessary for pulling project permits. Certifications, on the other hand, are typically voluntary and demonstrate a certain level of expertise. In some cases, a certified electrician may send an apprentice or journeyman to perform the work, but they must operate under a primary electrician who holds the proper license.

Before hiring, you should verify the electrician's license, insurance coverage, and any third-party certifications. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm a pro's license status. Additionally, businesses with the “Angi Approved” badge on our platform meet strict criteria, including having the required state and local licenses, passing a background check, and maintaining a high average rating.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.
