"The project started well, but on the final day, the contractors unexpectedly claimed they made a mistake and demanded an additional $8000, threatening legal action if not paid. I verified Colorado law, which states they had six months to place a lien on our property, requiring notification within three days of doing so, and by registered mail after the lien was placed. We took no action, avoiding reviews or contact. They have since blocked us from their website and emails. Ultimately, they never placed a lien, and the six-month period has passed. Now that everything is resolved, I want to leave a review. While I am satisfied with the project's outcome, I am unhappy with their conduct, including the legal threats and the last-minute demand for more money. His wife, not him, conducted the final walkthrough and provided the warranty and a statement confirming full payment. He even verbally admitted to putting our project on the "back burner" when I questioned the delay."

We shopped around at several places before deciding to go with Hands of Stone; the two major big box lumber yards in this area, and another smaller local contractor. Hands of stone came in at a slightly lower price as the big stores, and could provide what we wanted a couple of weeks sooner. The other local store/contractor that we contacted never completely followed up on our call. We got an Email from them after about two weeks, but that was it. Hands of Stone set the date to measure the cabinets, and they were there on the date that they said they would be. They also set the date for installation. They did call and ask if they could be a day late on the install, which worked out fine for us. They gave us several days notice on this. The guys that installed the cabinets, Alex and Miguel, were very professional, highly skilled and worked very smoothly together to get the job done in about 2 hours."
