In a nutshell: I have extremely high standards and they exceeded ALL of my expectations!!! For those who want the long version: Carl Johnson (owner of Johnson Cabinetry & Refacing) and his crew are a phenomenal team. The whole process was smooth, fast, and easy. Let me reiterate EASY! Carl refaced my kitchen, which means all new doors and 1/4 inch real wood covering my old cabinet boxes. I had him change out a couple cabinets for better functionality as well. Looking at the final refacing product after it was all finished looks and feels like new cabinets--it turned out better than I ever could have hoped! Carl was involved from start to finish. He took notes and followed up on every detail. His work was meticulous and the transformation is amazing! Carl is detailed, professional, courteous, excellent communication, creative, and arrives on time. I was never given a "sales pitch" and never felt pressured. Carl and his team always seemed eager to accommodate my extra requests. My home was treated with the upmost care by Carl and his crew. Normally I get stressed with people in my home, but I found myself completely at ease. The end product on my cabinets was the absolute best possible outcome. They are GORGEOUS!!! "I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay. It is really nice to be listened to...especially when it's MY money I'm spending."
