The house was recently flipped, and his photos showed the poor quality of workmanship by the company, heat ducting smashed closed, no pads for blocking if the floor beams, a portion of the crawl space was so narrow, it would only be able to be accessed from the top side.He also provided me with a verbal ball park estamate on what it would take to correct these problems."

"The main reason for calling them was two jobs involving some height and difficult access -- reattaching a roof fascia that was coming off and creating a new interior window frame for a new skylight (turned out that the roofers who installed skylights did not do anything interior!). Both of these went quickly and well. As did a small job installing a valve in a shower line. However there were problems with the next item on the list (we felt we were committed to paying for an entire afternoon.) This was installing a new light fixture -- something we generally do ourselves if the location is accessible. Turned out the guy who came is afraid of electricity because he recently experienced a bad shock. Initially he wanted to turn off all the electricity in the house. Although we talked him out of that and worked with him to find the circuit breaker that turned off the appropriate circuit, it was in a dark hallway and we did not closely supervise the work. And he was in a hurry because they had told him he had to go on to pick up doors for another job the next day. Although he had been very careful to check every step of the way on every other job, he did not on this last one. And afterwards we found that this unusual fixture (two light track arms extending from a base) had been installed improperly so the arms could not be unfolded and extended. We had to take it down and reinstall it ourselves. We requested a small reduction in the charge, half of the time attributable to this job because we felt responsibility for the problem was shared, and that request was granted."

My Primary specialty is Interior/Exterior Painting, Refinishing or Refubishing Decks or Fences, or Deck & Fence repair. However, I AM and ALWAYS have been a HANDYMAN!!! (35 years experience). On ALL of my projects I extend a 2 year waranty that is fully transferable to any new owneships. I can also accept ALL major credit cards to possibly help you schedule your projects easier. This time of the year with the added pressure of our economy and the holidays, many companies are offering reasonable discounts for their services. Although this may be attractive to most people, I have found that too many shortcuts are taken when you discount your services too much. I will NEVER claim to be the cheapest in the industry!!! However, my prices are fair, and below market standards. I will NEVER trade off my PERFECTIONIST ways for a lower price. I am a man of GREAT integrity and HONOR. I think that we can all agree that is a rare thing these days. I am prompt, reliable, EXTREMELY neat and organized, detail oriented to a fault at times, and I often take that extra step to take care of something that my customers were not expecting. I know many people have delayed painting the EXTERIOR of their homes or structures the past 3 seasons. However......It's NOT TOO LATE to paint your exteriors. I primarily use Sherwin Williams paints that are designed to be used as low as 35 degrees, and up to 85 degrees. These paints have a minimum of a 15 year gurantee as well. As far as interior painting, I use ZERO V.O.C. Paints. We can match any color, and even give you some interior design ideas. Pricing can vary from project to project. It is always best to estimate this is person. My estimates are ALWAYS free of charge!!! Some projects that I do are done as an hourly rate (Most Handyman Services are priced this way) My hourly rate for SMALL projects are $60.00 for the first hour, an $40.00 for each additional hour, PLUS any material costs. I DO NOT mark up materials like most companies either!!! I only charge you what I pay for those materials, and those are usually discounted due to my contractor status. Painting prices average at about $300.00 for an average INTERIOR bedroom, and EXTERIOR painting AVERAGES at about $2,200.00. Please keep in mind that these are AVERAGE Prices.
