"From the initial phone call for a bid, to the completion of the work Garage Force was by far the BEST contractor we have ever had. And after renovating an entire mid-century modern home in two years that is high praise. The Reeds (owners) were respectful of our property, on time everyday, answered all our questions, and just went above and beyond to meet our needs. For those looking to finish concrete floors, there is no better company than this. We have already referred them to our realtor friends and others in our neighborhood."

"Jeremy came out from Boucher and painted several rooms for us. His price was very fair, he was professional and on time. He was polite and offered help moving furniture. He is a diligent worker and demonstrated good equipment and painting skills. He left no mess or "oops, sorry". We will definitely use him again and recommend him highly. Mike and Barb Phillips"

"It went wonderfully! We did not use your average ordinary tile as that’s not our personal style! So while more skill and accuracy is needed to achieve our vision, they did so with ease and in a timely manner! It’s more than just functional! It’s our art in reality!"

"I hired Rhino garage floors and the owner Nathan, came out gave me a bud and I chose to hire him , he came out the first day to grind my concrete surface and explained the importance of this step and that it had to be done first before epoxy coatings could be done. I had no idea about the science of it all. Next day he came back out to make sure the surface was clean and ready to coat, and that's what he did. The epoxy coating and the vinyl chip coatings where complete, and look and felt amazing. The next day he came back out and did the polyaspartic clear coat on the top to finalize the job , all I can say is wow. My floor looks completely different from before! It really does make the entire area look and feel complete. This was an amazing experience."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Concrete sealers will help your garage floors resist water, but they will not make the floor waterproof. You will need to purchase a specific waterproof floor paint for concrete and apply several coats over several days if you want your garage floor to be truly impermeable. While the process is similar to sealing the floors, the materials are different, and the need for multiple coats will extend the process and drying time.

How do I epoxy a garage floor?

To epoxy a garage floor, you need to measure the area of the floor, remove all items from the garage, thoroughly clean the floor, and then follow the manufacturer’s instructions to mix and apply the epoxy. Learning how to epoxy a garage floor can save you between $4 and $7 per square foot on labor.

Yes, you can seal old or existing concrete, but proper preparation is crucial. The concrete surface must be clean, dry, and free of any incompatible old sealant. To check if an old sealer is present, drip a few drops of water onto the surface; if the water is absorbed in under five minutes, it's ready to be resealed. If you plan to use the same type of sealer that was previously applied, you may not need to remove the old layer. However, if you are using a different type of sealer, the old one must be completely removed. Before applying the new sealer, thoroughly clean the concrete and repair or fill any cracks to ensure a smooth, well-prepared surface.

Options include epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylic for various uses.

If it's well maintained, a polished concrete floor can add value to your home. Concrete is a low-maintenance and durable material that can appeal to homebuyers, especially if they prefer industrial and modern designs. Naturally, higher quality floors will add more value.
