I contacted a different place here in Longmont and made the mistake of not reading the reviews first. A week later, without hearing back from the first place, I reached out to Black Diamond. Brian got back to me that evening and promised to squeeze me in the next day. He lived up to his promise and showed up that evening. He completed the repairs in a very timely manner and communicated throughout the entire process. He replaced our pool pump and gave us options and pros & cons for each. We had a leak a week later and he came right out and fixed it (a pipe just needed to be tightened). All work performed is covered under a 30 day labor warranty plus manufacturer warranties for parts. I have been Service Magics top Pool and spa serivce technician for 5 years. I charge no more than 30 minutes drive time over all of Denver Metro area. My hourly rate is $90 per hour and has been for 5 years. I am honest and fair.

But the service and professionalism of everyone from the order taker to the billing department was so exceptional that I had to document it for any others who might need their services. "The pull chain on the light in the basement ,(which is unfinished) pulled out of the box and figured it would be better to install a on/off switch. Made an appointment With Hardesty Electric to do the job. Stephen was on time for the appointment and did install the new switch in less than 45 minutes, I also asked him for an estimate to install two lights on a stairway, the time for that was maybe 5 min. 

Stephen stated it would be an additional $50.00, I asked him if it was for the material which he said it was. I feel that the $59.00 big deal from Angies List for 1 hour of labor plus the $50 bucks for probably 10 ft. of electrical wire. 1 plastic box, 1 on/off switch and switch plate which I could have purchased at Home Depot for less than $10 bucks was very steep. Guess when you want an electrician that carries a masters license that does not give a receipt for the services rendered, (which I didn't ask for but thought it was odd for a licensed company not to do),  that's what you have to expect to pay. Live and learn!"
