I would not recommend this electrician to anyone.
"Let me see if I have this? It was two years ago and you are just now writing a review get a life."
Mr. Hardesty was prompt and professional, and seemed like a nice fellow.
However, it seems that he does not own ladders and obviously it was annoying that my instructions about the need for ladders to do the jobs I most needed doing were ignored. The answer about employing again is really "maybe" rather than "yes" but you do not offer that option.
"Wow 2 years ago I don't recall you."
Electrician was punctual and did good work.
The 4-foot fluorescent fixture (purchased by me) was ready and waiting and the area was clear to work. The job was completed in approx 25 minutes.
I purchased a coupon special for $99 which entitled me to 2 hours' work, a value of $190. When I began inquiring about some other jobs (adding outdoor receptacle, checking capacity for another 220v) I was told that I had already received my $99 value, although I mentioned the coupon supposedly represented $190 value.
As I said, the work performed was good, so I can't complain about the job. However, I think I could have had the fixture installed for under $99, let alone $190.
The work was fine but, we would not hire him again because he idled his truck in front of our house for far too long and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. In addition, I felt like he spoke to me in a condescending fashion. My husband noticed it too.
Stephen stated it would be an additional $50.00, I asked him if it was for the material which he said it was. I feel that the $59.00 big deal from Angies List for 1 hour of labor plus the $50 bucks for probably 10 ft. of electrical wire. 1 plastic box, 1 on/off switch and switch plate which I could have purchased at Home Depot for less than $10 bucks was very steep. Guess when you want an electrician that carries a masters license that does not give a receipt for the services rendered, (which I didn't ask for but thought it was odd for a licensed company not to do), that's what you have to expect to pay. Live and learn!
