"After a little glitch, my husband called Dabella and Dustin reached out to us, he went above and beyond to help us get a new roof. He was professional and kind helped us get the best financing and got our roof installed before the snow started flying. We had a new roof and gutters installed. Everything looks awesome. Thank you Dustin"

"A subcontractor did the work. Once fascia board was replaced, he was supposed to reattach gutters so they would drain properly. He did not adjust the slope on one gutter on the driveway side of the house, where we have a handicap ramp. It rained the day of the work, and water collected in the gutter and could not drain, thus allowing a leak to develop. I called LeafFilter and was given an appointment for an adjustment/repair on May 11. (The work was done on April 28.) While at a doctors appointment, I received a call from someone from LeafFilter on the morning of May 1st. He was at our house, looking for the leak. I described where it was. When we arrived home, almost two hours later, he was just leaving, having corrected the problem gutter, lowering one end so it would drain properly. We are extremely satisfied with the prompt service. There has not been a leak since. Insofar as expense is concerned, it seemed like a lot to pay for the work we were having done, but they were the contractor who could replace the fascia board, seal the gutters, and re-anchor them."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Most Greek Revival architecture homes are one and a half to two stories, depending on the footprint, which sets them apart from some Federal architecture homes that are three stories. The gabled roof on the second floor can sometimes cut into the living space, especially on smaller homes of this style, which leaves a much smaller living area upstairs.

You likely need to hire an architect for your new house design and build, unless you have the design skills and experience with building regulations and standards needed to get your plans approved. If you are able to meet the design requirements, you can hire a draftsperson to create the blueprints for the builders to follow.

Balancing aesthetics with functionality amidst space planning is important. To do so, you could consider consulting both an interior designer and an architect to fulfill both these needs. Or you can tackle it on your own by prioritizing personal touches amidst space planning that add to the look but don't take away from the livability of the space.

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.

Pros provide detailed quotes and efficient management, reducing overspending risks on materials and labor.
