I asked him to help me decide whether to demolish the old tile floor or just install the new tile over it. He gave me a good list of pros and cons based on his experience, which enabled me to make an informed decision. (The other two contractors I talked to about this were unsure and non-committal, which was not helpful). Ben also educated me about Schluters, which he recommended for the steps. A friend was supposed to fix it for us, but after many months and many excuses, the tile had not been replaced. After listing our house, it was imperative the tile be replaced.
