"We hired the folks at CCC Drywall Company based solely on reviews from Agni?s and could not be more satisfied, and we are completely pleased with the results. We had two large holes left from the removal of medicine cabinets and multiple small holes that needed to be patched, then several plaster walls that needed correction due to previous damage. The repairs were very professionally completed and the walls very skillfully and beautifully skimmed and hand troweled. Their efforts added beauty to our already lovely home, and are very grateful for their efforts and kindness towards us. We would highly recommend CCC Drywall to anyone needing drywall repair or correction!"

"Matthew and Mary were awesome! They are very pleasant and personable and did a great job removing our popcorn ceilings and painting. They got the work done super quickly too. We are very grateful for their hard work and look forward to working with them again next time we have a drywall related need. Thank you both!!"

"I am a finish carpenter that builds high-end custom staircases and decided to finish my basement myself. I chose to have Best Choice Drywall Finishers do the mudding and taping of my walls and ceiling in a smooth texture. Being involved in multi-million dollar projects I know the best practices and the level of quality of the finished product and their level of excellence were equal to the best I have seen in the industry. I will gladly use them on all my future projects and recommend them to anyone looking for drywall work."

Customers say: True professional

"Billâ s work was excellent. We have a 30â long stone retaining wall that was filled with bindweed, and had dropped from the foundation. Bindweed has been eradicated non-chemically, and everything is regraded to slope away from the house. He also fixed the wall in a couple of spots. Itâ s not fancy, but looks beautiful."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.

They prevent soil erosion, add flat space, and enhance property aesthetics.

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.
