"Chris is a hands on owner of his company. I own a home with zero visible cracks when Chris and his partner were finished. My HOA requires proper paint codes and Chris brought me a perfect match. One year later I called Chris to paint to match my new garage door. He arrived to house within 48 hours. For fast, efficient and quality work give Chris a call."

"Joe came out to do a bid on pressure washing, staining and painting our home outside of Woodland Park. He gave us an honest and fair bid using Messmer’s Exterior oil based stain. David and his crew came up 2 weeks later and did an amazing job of pressure washing the house and repairing holes/cracks on siding & trim boards. A few days later they were back masking the windows and started staining. Total of 3 days to do staining and painting trim and garage door. They cleaned up all masking materials and our home looks amazing!"

"FIVE STARS! We had a custom stone fireplace project that turned out amazing. We ended up doing a stain and faux finish and the stone looks completely natural like it was here all along. We are thrilled with the results. I highly recommend this company as they are reliable, responsive, and provide quality finishes."

"If you need rain gutter work, look no further than J B Masters.  Best price, excellent quality, excellent customer service.  I wanted to replace all of the gutters and downspouts on my house after having it stuccoed.
JB Masters was recommended by a friend.  I called three additional gutter companies for estimates.  One never called back, another never showed up for an estimate and the third was more than twice as expensive as JB Masters.  Rob asked if he could come on a Saturday for the estimate.  He gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member and this brought his price down to almost one-third of the only other company that showed up to give an estimate.
I had a particularly odd run of gutter on a sunroom due to the addition of stucco over siding.  The other company told me that they could not put a gutter in that location.  Bob told me that he could make a slight modification and get a gutter in there.
Bob was very accommodating and helpful.  I am also looking into a covered deck, which would change some of my gutter work. Bob and his crew came out to install all of the gutters that would not be affected by this addition and will return when the rest of the gutters can be installed.
The quality of the work could not be better.  Everything is straight and true.  They tied all of the downspouts into existing drains from the old gutters.  The "problem" run on the sunroom was no problem for his crew, but did require additional time and effort.  Why would anyone want to pay nearly three times as much when the work could not be any better?  And, in fact, would not have included some of the gutter that I wanted.
One other things that was helpful to me was that JB Masters had a much larger selection of pre-painted colors to choose from compared to the other company.
Highly recommended without reservation.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Yes, it's a good idea to sand the wall with fine-grit sandpaper after spackling, especially if you plan on painting. You can do this by hand or using a sander, but the idea is to ensure the spackle is flush with the wall. Sanding will give your wall a smooth, uniform finish and help your paint and wallpaper stay put.

There are deck restoration products and oil-based wood stains that can help bring back some of the color and shine to your faded Trex decking. However, if your boards are suffering from serious fading due to UV rays or chemical cleaning products, don’t expect miracles. Also, these products are only suitable for use on the older Trex boards, not the capped, second-generation Trex products.

A wood deck requires annual cleaning and regular inspections for loose or broken boards, nails, and screws. It should be refinished by applying a stain or sealer every two to three years to protect the wood from water damage, rot, mildew, and sun fading. The exact frequency can depend on the climate and the deck's exposure to sun and moisture. If your deck is painted, it will need repainting approximately every 10 years. Signs that your deck needs refinishing include faded, splintering, or warping boards.

Apply a wood stain or sealant to properly maintain a wood deck railing and keep it looking new. Sealants protect wood from moisture and weathering. Regularly inspect the railing for loose screws, damaged balusters, and other signs of wear to make timely repairs. Routinely clean the railing using mild soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.
